Snoop Dogg Biopic Could Be An Anthology Series, Teams With Kevin Hart For Comedy Show

Snoop Dogg has been toying with the idea of an anthology of his life for years, and he says it is finally in the making.

Additionally, the West Coast rap icon is pushing more and more towards TV with an upcoming comedy show with Kevin Hart, according to Deadline. Hart revealed during his NBCUniversal’s Upfronts presentation that the show is currently in development.

Many significant rappers in history have had their own biopics hit the big screen. While Snoop Dogg has always been portrayed in supporting roles in these films, he is yet to have his character play the lead. In a new interview with Yahoo, Snoop talked about his desire for his own feature. Instead of just a 2-hour film, however, Snoop would love to have an anthology series that could produce a number of seasons documenting his story even before his conception.

On the topic of his own biopic, the rapper began, “It depends on whose eyes is told through,” he said. “You know, if it’s told through the right eyes, through the right lens, and it makes the most sense for me. But I think what makes the most sense to me is the ‘Snoop Dogg anthology,’ the life story of Snoop Dogg, where it starts with my mother and father meeting each other before I was even born, to me being born, to me growing through the ‘70s and ‘80s and the ‘90s. Me being the ‘Black Forest Gump,’ so to speak, seeing me in all of these highlighted moments in American history.”

The Long Beach rapper goes on to share that his team is already developing the series and ironing out the details. “I don’t want to rush to it just because [Straight Outta Compton] was successful, just to come behind it,” said Snoop. “I want to take my time and make sure that I’ve put together the right infrastructure of how I became me — you know, the people that inspire me, my upbringing, my mother, my father, my friends, community influences, inspirations that shaped and molded me. I don’t see it being a biopic, because I can’t give all of this great information and entertainment in two hours. But if I give it to you in an anthology, you’re likely to get six or seven seasons of this.”

RELATED: Snoop Dogg Biopic Could Be An Anthology Series, Teams With Kevin Hart For Comedy Show

In the past, Snoop has had some great actors play him in biopics for other rappers. Oscar-nominated actor Lakeith Stanfield played the rapper in the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton in 2015. Earlier in 2009, rapper and actor Anwan Glover portrayed Snoop in the Biggie biopic, Notorious. In the Tupac biopic All Eyez On Me in 2017, Snoop was played by Jarrett Ellis. For his anthology series, Snoop would want someone as dedicated as Jamie Foxx to take on the role. In a previous interview with the Associated Press, Snoop said the actor who gets to play him would have to win him over.

“I don’t know who could play me,” the rapper admitted. “I think it’s gonna have to win me over. When I think of someone playing you, I think of how Jamie Foxx played Ray [Charles]. That was like, spot on. So I would have to find me a Jamie Foxx or somebody that can actually become Snoop Dogg on screen and give me all of that element.

Elsewhere in the Yahoo interview, Snoop said the upcoming series would depict the transition between the ’70s and ’80s when the environment went from one of love and community, even among various ethnicities, to an era riddled with drugs and violence. “Definitely my childhood in the ‘70s, seeing how people loved each other, seeing how racism really didn’t exist to a maximum, how I grew up in school with different nationalities, teachers with different colors, and we loved them,” Snoop said about what would be portrayed in the series.

“That era of the ‘70s taught us how to love and how to be kind to people. Then the ‘80s era, that’s when the cocaine, drugs, violence, my teenage years and all of the things that were brought to our community by the government and the C.I.A. — that has been revealed now,” he added.

While there is no ETA on the “Snoop Dogg anthology” just yet, the rapper has fans excited to see his life story told in a whole series that could go on and on rather than the usual biopic. However, the possibility for a film might not be completely out of the picture. After the success of Straight Outta Compton, the rapper said he’s not quite ready for his own film just yet. “Nah, I’m still creating the Snoop story,” he said in an old interview. “It’s still happening as we speak…I don’t feel like I’m ready for that. I feel like I got more to do. And when I’m able to settle down and look at it and then say ‘Okay, I wanna document my life and my career and whatnot’ then I will do it.”

Could we be getting both or has Snoop settled on the idea of his anthology series alone?

Swizz Beatz Confirms DMX Posthumous “Exodus” Album Drops May 28

DMX posthumous album is coming May 28.

Hip-Hop fans were heartened to learn that before his unfortunate death on April 9, DMX had been putting the final touches on his highly anticipated eighth studio album. While many remained unsure about the status of the album, X’s team, along with Swizz Beatz, have confirmed that the rapper did finish it and announced earlier today, May 10, that the album will be dropped later this month.

The album titled Exodus, also the name of one of DMX‘s sons, is expected to drop on May 28. “5/28 EXODUS IS COMING [X] THE ALBUM,” Swizz posted on Instagram, alongside the album’s accompanying black-and-white cover art shot by Jonathan Mannion.

In a press release about the upcoming album, Swizz showered praises on the fallen rapper making special mention of the number of lives that he touched during his lifetime.

“My brother X was one of the most pure and rare souls I’ve ever met,” he said. Swizz, who also executive produced the album, added: “He lived his life dedicated to his family and music. Most of all, he was generous with his giving and loved his fans beyond measure. This album, X couldn’t wait for his fans all around the world to hear and show just how much he valued each and every single person that has supported him unconditionally.”

DMX went back to the Def Jam label in 2019. The last time he recorded anything with them was over 17 years ago, in 2003, when he released Grand Champ. During an interview with Drink Champs earlier this year, he confirmed features with Griselda and the late Pop Smoke. Industry rumors indicate that some other features could include Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Usher, and Alicia Keys.

Over the weekend, it was revealed that his eight-year-old daughter, Sonovah Hillman Jr., might also land a spot or two on the album. She captured the hearts of many when she put her own spin on her father’s “Slippin’” at his celebration of life memorial.

Snoop Dogg also revealed while speaking on Hot 97 recently that in April, DMX chose to stay in Los Angeles following their summer 2020 Verzuz battle to finish the album.

“He actually did his whole album at my studio when we finished Verzuz,” he explained. “He never left, he stayed in L.A. and rented my studio out and did his whole album. I cooked for them, I laid it out for them. I made it feel like mi casa es su casa. That was the best moment, that he felt comfortable enough to do his album at my spot and he didn’t leave until it was done,” he added.

I’m being tested right now, y’all. Make sure y’all pray for me and my family.”

You might be deep in this game, but you got the rules missin

I got a pit named P, she niggarino
I got a house out in the hills right next to Chino

and get scooped up, by the little homie in the Regal
Mmm, it feel good to you baby bubba
Ya see, this is for the G’s and the keys motherf*cker

Now follow as we riiiiide

Ya doing ya job, every day
And then you work so hard til ya hair turn gray
Let me tell you about life, and bout the way it is
You see we live by the gun, so we die by the gun’s kids

They tell me not to roll with my glock
So now I gotta throw away

They wonder how I live, with five shots

Schemes for currency and doe related
Affiliated with the hustlers, so we made it
No answers to questions, I’m tryin to get up on it
My nigga Dogg with me, eternally the most wanted

50 Cent Bans Snoop Dogg From Smoking On The Set Of “BMF”

50 Cent told Snoop Dogg that the set of “BMF” is a smoke free zone.

Snoop Dogg is a West Coast legend who has built his career on his smooth-talking style and his embrace of marijuana culture. It’s rare that you see Snoop without a blunt in hand, so it makes sense that the “Gin and Juice” rapper was caught off guard when someone tried to interrupt his smoke session. 50 Cent took to Instagram this week to share the moment he attempted to talk Snoop into putting out his weed while on the set of his upcoming show, BMF.

The picture showed Snoop in full makeup for his character role on the show, looking at a masked Fifty like he was crazy. “This is how @snoopdogg looked at me when I told him he can’t smoke weed on set,” Fif captioned the post. “He said f**k you talking about 50 it’s legal. LOL”.

Fifty may have just been looking out for the comfort of the cast and crew, some of whom might prefer not to get a second-hand high during work hours. Snoop, on the other hand, knows his worth and is probably betting he won’t get kicked off set for refusing to put out his blunt. The picture also revealed some behind-the-scenes details about BMF, showing Snoop in a vintage afro, old-school sunglasses, and flashy gold chains.

Snoop is reportedly playing a pastor and spiritual advisor in Black Mafia Family which tells the true story of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and his brother Terry “Southwest T” Flenory and their bigtime drug trafficking operation. The show is being filmed in Detroit and Atlanta and features several familiar faces, including La La Anthony.

Although he may be under the influence at all times, Snoop has already proven his acting chops several times over, including in his recent role alongside Matthew McConaughey in The Beach Bum. The rap icon received many positive reviews for his work in the film, although critics noted that the character was very similar to Snoop’s real-life personality. Now that he is cast as a pastor in BMF, fans may get a chance to see a more dynamic performance from the D.O. double G.

DMX Complete An Entire Album Of Work Before Death

DMX recorded an entire album of new music before his death.

The hip hop world is still in shock after the sudden loss of DMX, a legend in the rap game and arguably one of the best to ever grab the mic. Although DMX’s death will be felt among fans and music industry friends for many years to come, a forthcoming project by the Ruff Ryders alum has been confirmed by his friend and collaborator, Darrin “Dee” Dean.

During an interview with Fox 5 New York, Dean revealed that he and X spent the early part of 2020 working on a new album in Nashville following a road trip in an RV. Dee was not afraid to set expectations high for the project, saying, “It’s sad that he’s not gonna be here, but the music…This album right here is special. Like you probably never heard no music like you heard on this one that we did right now.”

From a public perspective, DMX seemed to be doing well in recent months. His manager, Craig Brodhead, and producer Swizz Beatz had both gone on record to report that DMX was healthy, motivated, and looking forward to the next chapter of his career. Speaking on the unreleased project, Brodhead said, “He was excited about it. He couldn’t wait to promote it and get out there with the music.”

The project was to be DMX’s first release following a new deal with Def Jam signed in 2019. The excitement surrounding the album was already heightened when X namedropped several of his recent collaborators during one of his final interviews, including Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys, Usher, and the late Pop Smoke.

DMX reminded the world what he was made of in July of last year when he went head-to-head and hit for hit with fellow rap icon Snoop Dogg on Verzuz, the incredibly popular music platform that stirred up nostalgia in millions of hip hop and R&B fans throughout the pandemic. Hearing X’s extensive catalog of hits hyped-up fans in anticipation of new music, and although DMX has tragically joined the ranks of talented rappers taken far too soon, he left us with the gift of a final album.

Additionally, X was reportedly working on a show about fatherhood in which he planned to introduce his kids to each other for the first time, and an HBO documentary featuring the rapper is said to have finished filming before his death. DMX passed away on Friday at the age of 50 after suffering a heart attack.

Snoop Dogg Announces 18th Studio Album “From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites”

Snoop is getting ready to release his 18th studio album, From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites.

Few rappers can boast of the longevity in the genre that Snoop Dogg has been blessed with. After all, he’s been in the game for close to three decades and is still considered one of the most versatile in the business. It doesn’t seem he’s about to slow down any time soon either, as he recently announced that he’s releasing a new single from his upcoming album From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites later this week.

The “Gin N Juice” singer will add this album to his already impressive repertoire, which includes 17 studio albums, five collaborative albums, 16 compilation albums, three extended plays, 25 mixtapes, and 175 singles.

Earlier this month, Snoop Dogg released a single called “C.E.O.,” and all indications suggest that track may form part of the new album, which he announced yesterday, March 29. He used his various social media channels, including Instagram, to make the announcement. He said: “NEW SINGLE ALERT OFF NEW ALBUM “From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites”: “Roaches In My Ashtray” new single + video dropping this Friday, April 2 • Pre-save LINK IN BIO.”

There’s one topic that fans can be sure that Snoop will touch on, and that’s his love of marijuana which he’s never been ashamed of and has always been happy to share. The single and its music video will drop this Friday, April 2.

There isn’t a lot of information about the album or what types of collaborations to expect but back in 2019. He managed to secure some star-power on his album, I Wanna Thank Me, which included the likes of Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa. He released that project after he officially received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Over 48,000 fans have already interacted with his Instagram post, showing that even after all these years, they are still excited to hear what the Tha Doggfather has to offer.

Drakeo The Ruler Claims He’s The Best Rapper In California & Snoop Dogg Only Got Older Fans

Drakeo The Ruler says he is the best rapper out of California and claims that Snoop Dogg fans are all over 30 as well as drop his new visual, “Pow Right In The Kisser.”

Showboating has become commonplace in the rap industry, and the younger artists always try to grab headlines by proclaiming their superiority. The latest to take this route is 26-year-old Drakeo The Ruler, whose been on the scene for about six years now. According to Drakeo, he’s the best rapper in California at the moment. Following a social media outburst, he gave himself the crown. That means he thinks that he’s better than veteran Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar.

He was the focus of media last year following his acquittal of several serious charges, including first-degree murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit murder. He first faced those charges in 2019 and once again in 2020. He was freed from prison in November 2020 and welcomed home to much fanfare.

He even blasted Drake during his social media tirade, even though the two recently released the successful single “Talk To Me.” He seems to be definitely calling out LA-based rappers as well. In one of the Tweets that he made earlier today, March 15, he said: “I AM THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE TO EVER COME OUT OF CALIFORNIA AND ITS NOT UP FOR DEBATE !!! FUCC WHOEVER FEEL SOME TYPE OF WAY.”

Not Just Bounty Killer, Popcaan Also Bury Mavado Beef Amid His Mother’s Death

Popcaan follows Bounty Killer and also end his beef with Mavado following the Gullyside singjay mother’s passing.

Dancehall artiste Mavado is currently mourning the death of his mother, Elizabeth “Ms. Pinny” Gordon, who passed away suddenly last week. The entire entertainment fraternity has rallied behind the “Gully Side” artiste as he goes through this time of bereavement. He has gotten numerous sympathetic messages and words of encouragement even from persons once considered rivals. One artist who has reached out is Popcaan, with whom he had a long-standing beef.

In a heartfelt Instagram Story upload directed to Mavado, Popcaan wrote, “Keep yo meds firm up same way singer, keep fighting the fight, condolences to you and your family, tough times for everybody, stay up!” he also added, “Unruly wish bad on no one.” It is good to see that despite whatever past differences they may have had, this may just be the first stepping stone to mend those broken fences. Another artist that has not been a big fan of Mavado, Bounty Killer, also expressed condolences and seemingly bury their old feud.

Popcaan IG | Mavado

Popcaan and Mavado have been beefing since the Unruly Boss’s days under the tutelage of Vybz Kartel, his arch-nemesis. Things appeared to have cooled down at one point, and as they appeared, Snoop Dogg’s “Lighters Up” in 2013.

That truce did not last long, and they both started doing diss tracks aimed at each other. Late last year, their long-standing rivalry seems to be very much alive, with Popcaan referring to Mavado as “irrelevant” during an interview. Drake got in on the action at one point as he took aim at Mavado. The Gullyside leader who now resides in Florida released “Enemy Line” to clapback at both Popcaan and Drake.

Mavado has quite a full plate at this point. Apparently, the day his mother died was also the day scheduled for his son was sentencing after being convicted of murder earlier this year. It was, however, later postponed to March 19. The culture of dancehall is once again shifting towards a greater sense of unity as more past rivals try to bury the hatchet.

Mavado, Snoop Dogg, and Popcaan

Popcaan recently appeared on collaboration for Beenie Man’s new album, another artiste he had issues with. The Unruly Boss has also mended past wounds with Bounty Killer.

One artist who has also been very vocal on unity in the dancehall area is Sean Paul, who is currently preaching a message of “collaboration over confrontation.” The most decorated Jamaican entertainer of the modern era recently dropped his Live N Livin album, which is compromised of a handful of collaborations with other artists spanning different genres. We can only hope this trend is one that continues.

Bow Wow Announces His Final Album “Before 30” Ahead Of Retirement

Bow Wow says his final album Before 30 is coming.

Bow Wow is teasing the release of one more album before closing out his chapter. He plans to drop a 10-track album titled “’Before 30’ which will have a narration by his friend and mentor Snoop Dogg, who introduced him and gave him the name Lil’ Bow Wow.

The rapper said this will be his final album hinting at early retirement. “I’ma do one more album. It’s gonna be the last one and it’s gonna be called Before 30, and I’ma have Snoop narrate the whole thing,” he said during a Hot 97 interview on ‘Ebro in the Morning.’ He added, “So it’s gonna be a kind of a different project, 10 songs.”

The name of the title is aptly referenced to the rapper’s career achievements – “everything I’ve accomplished, I’ve seen it before 30.” He also shared that he planned to unite with the likes of Chris Brown, who he has collaborated with in the past. “I’ma tap back in with [Chris] Brown. I’ma giv it to ‘em one time.”

The Growing Up Hip Hop star and father of two says he plans to drop a song about his baby boy Stone who he welcomed with model Olivia Sky in September.

Boy Wow has been talking about his retirement since 2016, saying he has always wanted to get out of rap music by a certain age “I always said years ago I’d retire from music before 30, I just can’t see myself at 30 years old rapping,” he tweeted to his fans.

Mick Jenkins – Flaunt Lyrics

[Chorus]
Niggas wanna see me stunt, uh
Niggas wanna see me talk my shit
Niggas wanna see me front, uh
Niggas wanna see me flaunt my bitch
I don’t even flex like that on the regular
Bet you hear the muscle when I start my shit, though
Park my shit, hop out
Homies keep asking me when I’m gon’ pop out, oh
Niggas wanna see me stunt, huh?
Niggas wanna see me talk my shit
Niggas wanna see me front (On ’em)
Niggas wanna see me flaunt my bitch
I don’t even flex like that on the regular

[Verse]
Spent 10K on tithes
Get backed up on me when the checks like that on the regular
Spent 20 minutes on the face, lips MACed up
Oh, these bitches better know I’m dickin’ that down on the regular
Move the f**k around, you a regular to me, don’t act up
Niggas talk loud out the jugular
Keep my head down out in public and I’m aced in the club
See you clowns in the Publix, niggas fake with the love
Roll the pack up, put it to my face and it’s big, though
Snoop Dogg snappin’ and we big loced out
Sitting on the small block smoking on a cigo like, uh

[Bridge]
Niggas wanna see me stunt, huh?
Niggas wanna see me talk my shit, right?
Niggas wanna see me front
Niggas really wanna see me flaunt my—
I don’t even flex like that on the regular, spent 3K
Dim light on my wrist, dim sum on my plate
Midsummer night’s dream, now they telling me it’s fake
And I ain’t even tryna brag, but

[Chorus]
Niggas wanna see me talk my shit
Niggas wanna see me front, huh
Niggas wanna see me flaunt my bitch
I don’t even flex like that on the regular
Bet you hear the muscle when I start my shit, though

If it ain’t what I’m talkin’, then why we talkin’, nigga?
If it ain’t what I’m talkin’, then why we talkin’, nigga?

[Verse 1]
Let me tell you somethin’
It’s everybody’s favorite crip cousin, Snoop Dogg
Inductin’ these woop hoes as loopholes
Death rowin’ them blue drawers, bitch niggas
Good on both sides like switch hitters
Snitches get stitches, send cliques to get niggas
For you to smoke with me cuz, you need 6 figures
Ask your bitch ’bout the dick, yeah, my shit glitter

[Chorus]
Nigga, what you talkin’ ’bout? (Huh?)
If it ain’t what I’m talkin’, then why we talkin’, nigga?
If it ain’t what I’m talkin’, then why we talkin’, nigga?
If it ain’t what I’m talkin’, then why we talkin’, nigga?

[Verse 2]
‘Cause I done changed so many lives with my vibe
Made sure my crips and my wroos all survive
Long Beach throwin’ up C’s in my stores
Hollywood store, Twin Towers with the boys, nigga
Switchin’ bitches like I switch cars
Lil’ homies on go, and keep the licks for us
Walkin’ in the church, smellin’ like a lit forrest
We still good ’cause a real one kept the shit goin’

[Chorus]
Nigga, what you talkin’ ’bout? (What?)
If it ain’t what I’m talkin’, then why we talkin’, nigga?
If it ain’t what I’m talkin’, then why we talkin’, nigga?
If it ain’t what I’m talkin’, then why we talkin’, nigga?

[Interlude]
It don’t stop, it don’t stop
(Makin’ this shit)
We gon let this shit breathe right here, hold up

[Verse 3]
I done made so much money, everybody gotta love me
But that comes with the game, my nigga, hate it or love it
So what we really talkin’ ’bout, if we ain’t talkin’ ’bout
What I’m talkin’ ’bout
‘Cause what I’m talkin’ ’bout got niggas hella bags
Sophisticated crippin’ with the ghetto swag
Three-piece suit with a black and a yellow rag, tied in a knot
Rollin’ down the Laundro got my eyes on the opps
Got my eyes on the cops, got my eyes on the block
Fresh off stage, rich or broke loco, shit don’t change
Where I’m from (Long Beach)

[Outro]
Fuck outta my face with that shit, man
(Makin’ this shit)
It’s what we do
Right on, right on
(Makin’ this shit)

Dimitri, Mike and Gucci

[Verse 1]
Laying on the front line, vibing to the bass drums
Sipping on a 40
And someone’s on the rooftop, lighting up like Snoop Dogg
And it’s only Tuesday

I don’t need, I don’t need nothing else
I don’t need, I don’t need nothing else

[Chorus]
We don’t have to wake up ’cause we didn’t sleep
I still got a full cup of that Hennessy
All my friends by my side
It’s all I need in my life
5AM and we still feeling reckless
Piled up in the whip getting breakfast
All my friends by my side
It’s all I need in my life

I just wanna see you shop, shop ’til you drop
Pull out with the title top, drop out the lot
She don’t wanna leave the Wop, she know the night good
So watch the plot thick, so does Gucci’s heart thick

[Chorus]
We don’t have to wake up ’cause we didn’t sleep
I still got a full cup of that Hennessy
All my friends by my side
It’s all I need in my life
5AM and we still feeling reckless

Curren$y – Billy Ocean

[Intro: Curren$y]
Yeah, everybody should have their joints lit
Yeah, roll another one up while I’m smokin’, keep it goin’
Money and the power and some more shit, yeah, yeah

[Chorus: Curren$y]
Roll another one up while I’m smokin’, keep it goin’
Money and the power and some more shit, we stayin’ in motion
Never will I get into no hoe shit, I’m not for it
Stay golden, frozen, floatin’, motherfuckin’ Billy Ocean

[Verse 1: Curren$y]
You can act like you don’t know, Spitta and Cardo
Bullet proof German coupe car doors close, take photos
Car shows in my lo-lows
My sixty-four ride slow, bumpin’ Snoop Dogg, blowin’ dolo
It’s like a fog machine done went off in my car yo
Pull up after all the bars close to the civilians, underground casinos
For the real ones, you would suffocate in the buildin’
Last one tried to infiltrate I think they, I’d rather not say
Money on the plate like I never ate, not a crumb finna go to waste
Chevy crates tear the Interstate up where I stay
Muscle cars do the figure eights where I play
Live from New Orleans, rollin’ weed from the Bay
RIP Nate Dogg, smoke weed everyday
Livin’ out what I say on these albums and tapes

[Chorus: Curren$y]
Roll another one up while I’m smokin’, keep it goin’
Money and the power and some more shit, we stayin’ in motion
Never will I get into no hoe shit, I’m not for it

Stay golden, frozen, floatin’, nigga Billy Ocean

[Verse 2: Curren$y]
Nigga whatchu know, that original dope flow
Stained glass cathedral ceilings and marble floors
Hustle hard to afford, I work for it
Sports cars I drive slow, I’ma show off
Sucka bring his hoe, he got his hoe tossed
He cried alone in his car as he drove off
Highed up as I float on, they gon’ have to call the fuckin’ coast guard, shit

[Chorus: Curren$y]
Roll another one up while I’m smokin’, keep it goin’
Money and the power and some more shit, we stayin’ in motion

Snoop Dogg – 220 (feat. Goldie Loc)

[Intro]
220 get dressed up, jumped on a boat
Fuck with my locs
Breakin’ the bread

[Verse 1: Snoop Dogg]
220 on the boat, here’s a toast to my folks
It’s a holiday, Crip, I’ma fuck with my locs
Get dressed, so fresh, big S on my chest
Now I’m feelin’ work, yellow Steeler shirt

Picture a room full of Long Beach 20 Crips
Doin’ this, who in this? You in this? We in this bitch
Wish the dead homeboys was seein’ this shit
Neither, none, best 20 minutes or less
It’s a C-Walk contest, who do it the best?
Right your set with the feet, skip along to the beat
Represent your shit and bang out your street
For real though, king of the hill though
Run up on a nigga, you get popped like a pill yo
See I’m a dub motherfucker, and all y’all know
So if you’re with it, let’s get it 432-O, come on

[Chorus: Snoop Dogg]
(Me and my, me and my niggas)
(Me and my, me and my, me and my niggas) We rollin’

Where them homies , hit him and tell him let’s parlae
Never outta [?] with I keep the line open
Meditatin’, contemplatin’ the way we grind on em’

[Verse 3: Snoop Dogg]
I’m shootin’ like I just started
But I’ma walk up in this motherfucker cold-hearted
I know you niggas don’t see me as much as you’d like
‘Cause I’m out gettin’ money when I’m rockin’ the mic
I’m a long way from Locus Ave, my locas have
Been there with me through the good and bad
Know look, let me reminisce, and twist a fuckin’ blunt to spark
I got put on, ’84 at King Park
Shottin’ hoops with Charlie Mo and [?]
With the bumblebees, real east-side G’s
Then go to [?] and ball out for any black ass
And wait for all the bitches at Poly to get outta class

Snoop Dogg – Gangstaz Life Lyrics

[Verse 1: Snoop Dogg]
10-20-71, the day I come out
Two days later, I’m runnin’ my mouth
Mom’s put a bottle to my grill
I look her in the face and I say chill
So she puts her back up on a pillow
Five minutes later I’m bailin’ out the hoes-pital
On my way to the liquor store
The first thing I grab is some skins and a 4-0
Dropped the O-E cause it’s just too cold
I get myself some gin instead and then I stroll
But before I get out the door
The man behind the counter says hey, yo, yo
He picks me up and sit me on the seat
And then he grabbed the phone and get to dialin’ the police
I wanna run but I can’t walk yet
Can’t grapple with nothin’ said, cause I can’t talk yet
First trip in the police car
Cameras all around me as if I was a star
Young black toddler, it’s feeling like they dissin’ me
Mom’s grabbed me, and then she gets to kissin’ me
She thanks the police for my good health
I don’t know why, I coulda done that by my muthafuckin’ self
And I always love my mama cause she raised me right
And I must say that I’m a gangsta

[Bridge: Snoop Dogg]
Livin’ in a gangsta’z life
Straight gangsta’z life

[Verse 2: Snoop Dogg]
Let’s speed the clock up and pass some time
June 17th, 1979
That’s my first time being arrested
I know I done the crime, but I ain’t going to confess to this shit
I learned that from the G’s
A G is a overseer, the overseer sees
More than you do cause he gets experience
And besides I’m just a juvenile delinquent
‘fore I was gone, and I’m on my way home
My momma’s coming to get me in a fleetwood brougham
She puts a jacket on my back and hands me a comb
We stop at frosty freeze for a couple of snowcones
She telling me that I didn’t need to do what I done
She said: “playing football should be your only fun son”
I’m like “allright” so we head to the house
I mobbed through the door and pops fired to the mouth
I couldn’t do nothing but cry like a bitch
I looked at my momma and said: “damn, why you snitch?”
They put me on punishment but that didn’t work
Now wearing khakis, wallabees, and a t-shirt
And throwing up the neighborhood gang signs
I do my first robbery and now I gotta do time
5 feet, 6 wearin’ 83
They sent me to a place called LP
I bailed in the dorm lookin’ hard as hell
I told ’em who I was and where I dwell
Some fool had beef and he ran up on me
Hear nothin’ pop cause I spotted one of my homies
Who ran the game to me in the correct manner
And told me to stay down for my bandana
Two weeks later, I’m getting shipped to another institution
I’m fucking up, starting confusion
Vibed on my counselor, feeling like a champ
I finally get settled down at the junior fine camp
I do my little time up in this home sweet home
My momma’s coming to get me in a fleetwood brougham
I’m on swauce, so if pops swing it’s on
But things did change, why?, cause pops ain’t home
Why? he couldn’t take it, what? so he moved on out
Left my momma the car, the kids, the bills, and the house
That’s half of my life summoned up
That’s why young, black teens in the ghetto don’t be comin’ up
The way their ancestors did
Because mom plays the role of both parents to the kids
But when you make it, your father, he shows up shortly
But when thangs ain’t right, they play the role like they don’t know me
But when you play me like that ya see
I have no other choice but playin’ the role of a G

[Bridge: Snoop Dogg]
This is a gangsta’z life
Straight gangsta’z life

[Verse 3: Snoop Dogg]
I’m full grown, out on my own
But my impression is still at my momma’s home
My baby brother, guess what y’all? he wanna be like me
They call him lil Snoop Dogg and he way more harder than I was
A hog, been through YA, nellaz, and all the hogs
He even robbed santa claus on Christmas day
And every Sunday my momma pray that he don’t get caught up in gunplay
Hey, I made the bed so I guess I gotta lay
I guess I’ll slide through and ride through the hood today
Lay low, hold ya gats, and watch yaself
Stay composed, I freeze-frozed clothes, doze on O’z
Muthafuckas who be lovin’ a cup of shit of shit up
All they wanna do is show another nigga lit up, hit up
Names of the homies who rest in peace
Ya got your stars on wit’ ya flag, and ya khakis properly creased
Mobbin’ through the way or should I say
Strollin’ through the park one day
Sippin’ on the Hen do’ sad’n a muthafucka
Cops raid my house, they shot my baby brother
They say he was strapped but they never found a strap
This life of a gangsta, he’ll never get back
And it’s like that

[Outro: Snoop Dogg]
This is a gangsta’z life

Wiz Khalifa Goes To High School In “Letterman” Video

Wiz Khalifa drop the visuals for “Letterman” a cut off his new mixtape Laugh Now, Fly Later.

The video reminds of that time Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg released their movie Mac & Devin Go To High School. In the Ethan Lader-directed movie, Wiz goes back to high school where he is a star player surrounding by some smoking hot cheerleaders. One of the banging females is played by his real life girlfriend Izabela Guedes.

Khalifa plays football for the Doobies so you can bet there is smoke everywhere which is similar to a lot of his videos. Throughout the video, he maintains the weed theme including ads that are shown in the stand. The video arrives just in time for Super Bowl. Mister Cap released his Laugh Now, Fly Later mixtape last year to appease his fans while he works on his upcoming album Khalifa Kush.

Make some room, hoe, keep a hundred feet away
Fifty trucks, when I pull up we a fleet away
You ain’t on my throne, ain’t even a seat away
But thanks to Nicki, all these new bitches can see the way

Had all these bitches rocking pink hair and bangs, though
Now I got ’em rocking inches now
But I’ll leave these bitches hanging like lynches now
Word play got ’em stepping up they pens-es now
Still stick me for my flow like syringes now
Still kicking closed doors off the hinges now
Shotgun and them ’88 Benzes now

In the town I got the millis, you know the drill-ay (Alright)
Yeah, butterfly the doors, throw a ivy queen in it then I skrt skrt skrt skrt skrt
You get the picture, but I still not with the bitch
Still hate the liquor, drank on my liver
Still got the basement, jumping like I’m Tigger (Straight up)
Pour ’til it’s muddy, blow ’til it’s muggy (Yeah)
But the gang goin’ dummy, thumbing through hundreds
(with the gang)
Keep it stick like it’s gummy, rap like a mummy
Break the bread ’til it’s crummy, eat ’til I’m chubby (Yeah)
Yeah, me amor the tings, me amor the green (Alright)
Yeah, blowing up the clouds, and hear the angels sing (sing)
Yeah, fresh steal off the lot, slide on your block and pop the top and then we skrt skrt skrt skrt skrt

Snoop Dogg – Go On (feat. October London)

As we go on… (We go on)
Like we do… (Like we do)
When it’s hot outside… (Hot outside)

I just wanna chill with you… (Chill with you)
What you need? (What you need?)
Is put ya mind at ease… (Mind at ease)
Here’s a little sun shinin’, drink and a summer breeze
Oh! Do-do-do, do-do-do
Let’s smoke and ride…
Baby if you feel the same, let me know
(If you feel the same, then let me know)
I wanna rock ya, girl… (Oh!)
Yes I do!
What you got to lose?

You done made it to see a whole ‘nother summer and it feel good
Stop, now , top down through the neighborhood
Let the wind blow, open up the window
That girl is poison like Bell Biv Devoe
We have a barbeque to do at four
Swimming pool party in the back on the low
BYOB, and the plates of food will be laid out for free
Little kids get down, I’ll have a bus pull up with Tommy The Clown
Now do The Jerk, get crunk, go to work
And do that dance that’ll make your whole damn body hurt
Playing mama dear, calm and clear
This that time of the year
For everybody to be boisterous
Rock with Snoop Dogg and rejoice to this

As we go on… (We go on)
Like we do… (Like we do)
When it’s hot outside… (Hot outside)
I just wanna chill with you… (Chill with you)
What you need? (What you need?)
Is put ya mind at ease… (Mind at ease)
Here’s a little sun shinin’, drink and a summer breeze
Oh! Do-do-do, do-do-do
Let’s smoke and ride…
Baby if you feel the same, let me know
(If you feel the same, then let me know)
I wanna rock ya, girl… (Oh!)
Yes I do!
What you got to lose?

Shined up my white walls, night falls
I’m feeling hella good
I’m doin thangs that you never would
Like surfin with the sharks, or shootin in the dark
Riding on a bike with my grandson at the park
Evolve while I elevate, take flight, levitate
Breakfast for dinner, I’m cold as a mother, but the summer ain’t the winter
Finna, bend a, corner, on a three wheel motion
I’m heading to the ocean, caravan full of cars
Neighborhood stars, up and down the boulevard
We go, till we can’t go no more
It’s me and mines, it’s summertime
You go off and we go on

As we go on… (We go on)
Like we do… (Like we do)
When it’s hot outside… (Hot outside)
I just wanna chill with you… (Chill with you)
What you need? (What you need?)
Is put ya mind at ease… (Mind at ease)
Here’s a little sun shinin’, drink and a summer breeze
Oh! Do-do-do, do-do-do
Let’s smoke and ride…
Baby if you feel the same, let me know
(If you feel the same, then let me know)
I wanna rock ya, girl… (Oh!)
Yes I do!
What you got to lose?

Snoop Dogg – 3’s Company Lyrics

[Chorus: Chris Brown]
Play on player
Girls on top on girls, when we rocking (rocking)
Play on player, play on player, play on player, play on player

[Verse: Chris Brown]
Sexy girl you came to party
You ain’t with your friends
Please come in in
Girl don’t mind, one time
Oh baby let me see you
You walk across that jewelry
Then slightly shake that booty (oh yeah)
Get your walk while I do it
I’ma show you all the way I play I do it

[Chorus: Chris Brown]
Play on player, play on player, play on player, play on player
Play on player, play on player, play on player, play on player (It was only)
Play on player
Girls on top on girls, when we rocking (rocking)
Play on player, play on player, play on player, play on player

[Verse: Chris Brown]
Breezy, smoke weed in the VIP

Chris Miles – Wake Up

[Intro]
So sick of playing these games, it’s
Impossible for me to ever ever be happy, yeah
And I’m so sick of doing the same shit
I just wanna sleep a tad bit, more

[Verse 1]
I don’t want to die
I’m in a elevator with Snoop Dogg and I just got a contact high
So everything better except the cheddar except when
I start to close my eyes, or did I already close my eyes
I don’t even know if I’m dreaming, I ain’t no genius
Got anxiety from my brain to my penis
Man I know that I’m sleeping
So why the hell am I stressed??
This is usually the way that I’m escaping the best?
It’s kinda like, kinda like…
Like a coping method
No prevention, I just want the pain to be less
Like, like

[Chorus]
Oh, you sleeping?
Wake up, wake up
You know that you are facing the death and by napping so quit the bullshit and wake up
This is not the way to resolve all your problems, you coward, just stop it and wake up
Either way you gon’ be hating your day so you might aswell stop and wake up

[Verse 2]
Imma stay asleep till I’m senior
Hop on all these fences where the grass is never greener
Got a girl on my mind named Christina
We netflix and chill when like no one can see us
So why would I wake up?
Got no reason
No five old, on my mind I’m cheesing
I do what I want till I’m not even breathing
I wake up on weekends like strictly for tweaking
I take off my week, this is made of my bitch
People would stalking, they oftenly switch
So I close off my mind, pay no mind to that shit, yeah, yeah
It is what it is
Either hit or you miss
See them flickin their wrists
I’m too busy with this
So be worried about that
Stuck in my mind, I’m checked
Let it ride, yeah, yeah

[Outro]
Let it ride (skrt, skrt)
Let it ride
Let it ride (aye)

[Verse 1: Snoop Dogg]
Doggy in the kitchen cookin’ chicken and rice
Thanksgiving holiday, yeah and I’m doin’ it right
Pop up, potluck, full of good food
Birds say Thursday, I’m in a good mood
Make a quick hood call, watch a little football
From the bad bad, to the neighborhood good dog
Stood tall through it all
Pop state to state, German chocolate cake
With Kool-Aid in the glasses
My family by the masses
My little nephews and nieces
Runnin’ around the house
From a little to a lot
BC, we thankful for all we got
Now what you want me to say?
Bow yo’ heads for a sec, and take a moment to pray

[Hook: Shirley Caesar]
Beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes
Lamb, rams, hogs, dogs
Chicken, turkeys, hogs, dogs
Chicken, turkeys, rabbits, You name it!

Beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes
Lamb, rams, hogs, dogs
Chicken, turkeys, hogs, dogs
Chicken, turkeys, rabbits, You name it!

[Verse 2: Snoop Dogg]
Up early with Shirley, in the kitchen, on a mission
With hams and yams and mac & cheese for the chicken
Collard greens is finger-lickin’
Mean with the dip and
Bobby Jones on the television
Granny say grace for us
And Auntie makin’ plates for us
The whole family in here now
Apple in ear now
Happy to be around
One of the dogs got full, baby
Took a whole bunch of turkeys to the hood, baby
See I’m about that action
Rest in peace, Mr. EJ Jackson
See we the gift that keep on givin’
Praise God we keep on livin’
BC, what you want me to say?
Bow yo’ heads for a sec, and take a moment to pray

[Hook: Shirley Caesar]
Beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes
Lamb, rams, hogs, dogs
Chicken, turkeys, hogs, dogs
Chicken, turkeys, rabbits, You name it!

Beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes
Lamb, rams, hogs, dogs

Every time you turn around Young Khalifa copping chains
She yours I got the brains, taught the game

BJ The Chicago Kid – All On Me (The Lost Files: Cuffing Season Mixtape)

Family problems, it ain’t easy handling those needs
(Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do)
Baby mama drama, I just need a little time to go to sleep
(Damn, only if I had a little time for me)
Record company motherfuckers asking me when I’m gonna release
(I want the pressure homie, so much pressure on me)
And my homies on my back about me helping them get up off them streets
(I mean what the fuck?)

And it all falls back on me
Sometimes, somehow, it all falls back on me
(Somehow it always fall back on me)
No matter where we are, no matter what we doing, it’s on me
If it was up to you that’s just the way it’s always gon’ be

It’s kind of funny how they fall back on me
I used to never get a call back, homie
Before the money they didn’t see me like it’s dark and it’s all black, homie
But now they switching cause the card black, homie
It wasn’t always that way
We was recording on the 4-track, homie
New apartment, no fridge, no mattress, no table, no cable
And all I hear is my girl in my ear
And this nigga Eazy asking for his car back, homie
I would’ve never saw this happening from that far back, homie
What it came to be, would have never believed, living the life I lived in C-P-T
A motherfucking dream to reality is what you call that, homie

It was something to me
No eat, no sleep, wasn’t nothing to me
Can’t always be how you want it to be
And I’m the one that they looking up to
Fuck they expecting from me?

And it all falls back on me
Sometimes, somehow, it all falls back on me
(Somehow it always fall back on me)
No matter where we are, no matter what we doing, it’s on me
If it was up to you that’s just the way it’s always gon’ be

That’s just the way it is, and how it always was
DJing parties in my neighborhood just for the love
Dope dealers over tipping and bitches stripping
And any minute niggas start tripping and start shooting shit
On any given day I’m like "what the fuck?"
Face down on the pavement with the billy clubs
Took that feeling to the studio and cued it up
And now it’s "Fuck the Police" all up in the club
Now it’s ’91 and Snoop Dogg came to visit
And was like "What up cuz? Let me show you what this chronic like"
Couldn’t help myself, just had to dip into that chronic life
And then that night came in when that nigga Knight came in (woo!)
This one of those dreams you don’t wake up from
Then again, you don’t sleep if you come from where I come from
When the sun shines and they bust nines
Don’t dial 9 plus 1-1
When they run up on your school bus with a two truck, you might learn something

And it all falls back on me
Somehow it all fall back on me
No matter where we are, no matter what we doing, it’s on me
If it was up to you that’s just the way it’s always gon’ be
