Romeich Parties With Diddy While Shenseea Show off Her Cakes In Miami

While Romeich was partying with Diddy in Miami, Shenseea was flaunting her cakes.

Romeich Major stepped his game up significantly and he has Shenseea‘s success to thank for that. Romeich spent last night in Los Angeles rubbing shoulders with hip-hop mogul Diddy. He chronicled the special moment in a post on his Instagram page. The post features a video that shows Romeich standing just behind Diddy in what appears to be a crowded party venue.

His caption on the post reads, “Just to be in the presence of the great @diddy is such an amazing Dream to me because he is one of the musical genius and business icon that I look up to [prayer hand emojis].”

He continues, “I remember couple years ago I was making @shenseea meet so much people now this girl out here letting me meet all these international icons…See what hard work do? Let you live you Dreams #oneteamonedream.”

Romeich is obviously proud of both his and Shenseea’s accomplishments this far and is enjoying the fruits of their labor. In a series of posts on his stories last night, Romeich indicated that he was partying in LA and had to take a covid test prior to entering the venue. He then posted a video of a swab being taken for the test. The producer also shared several clips of LA from the roof of the building where we presume the party was being held.

While Romeich was obviously awed to be in the presence of Diddy, not all his followers were equally impressed, if any at all.

One Instagram account commented on Romeich’s post saying, “Am I the only one not impressed when our Jamaican celebs are star stucked by other celebs??? I think I get the bigger picture but ion like the actual picture.”

Fans were quick to come to Romeich’s defense, arguing that there was nothing wrong with the picture or his celebration of being in the presence of great people.

One fan responded to the earlier fan’s comment saying, “I don’t think it’s star struck in this case. Being recognized or having the opportunity to meet top players in your industry especially on an international level makes you feel good / like you’re climbing and you’ll honestly feel the need to show gratitude and be grateful.”

Shenseea was partying at the same club with Romeich and Diddy although she was not visible in the video. She posted a pic on her Instagram showcasing her cakes and her outfit.

Meek Mill Shares Photo Of His Son Czar With Milano Flexing Big Chain & Burberry

Meek Mill son with Milano is flexing his jewelry and designer gears.

On the eve of his first birthday, Meek Mill is celebrating his baby boy. The rapper took to Instagram to celebrate the significant milestone today (May 5). In the celebratory post shockingly accompanied by a photo of Czar, Meek said, “Happy bday czar love you tomar your first big day!!!! [diamond emojis] can’t wait to see you love you!!!” Czar is pictured wearing a white button-front shirt that is open, blue jeans, Burberry bucket hat, and diamond chains.

The baby boy is Meek Mill’s son from a short-lived relationship with entrepreneur and designer Milan Harris, also known as Milano. The two secretly dated for several months before it was revealed that she was carrying the rapper’s child. Unfortunately, they separated shortly after the child’s birth in July of last year.

Addressing the breakup, Meek Mill at the time said, “Me and Milano decided to remain friends and build our child as separate parents … we still have mad love for each other but we both came to a understanding.”

He added, “no fall out either just moving forward! Still love! This for protection so social media wont think we moving wrong.”

Prior to dating Milano, Meek Mill dated Nicki Minaj. The couple dated for two years before breaking it off in 2016. Minaj subsequently married Kenneth Petty in October 2019. They recently welcomed a baby boy of their own last September.

Czar is Meek’s third child. The rapper has two sons – Murad and Rihmeek from a previous relationship.

Czar shares his birthday with his dad, who will be turning 34 years old tomorrow. In announcing the birth of his baby boy last year, Meek mentioned that they shared a special bond. He tweeted, “Milano dropped me off a king on my birthday! #thebestgift”

Fans have joined in with Meek Mill in celebrating his son. One Instagram user commented, “Awww he look like Papi… happy birthday big boy.” Another commented, “He’s so adorable [heart emojis].”

Fans also highlight that this is the first time they’ve gotten a glimpse of the baby. They have now gone on to speculate that Meek and Milano must be having a fallout as they doubt she granted him permission to post the photo. Since his birth, Milano has made it a point to disguise the baby’s identity in photos.

Either way, we’re all glad we finally got to set our eyes on their adorable baby boy. Happy birthday, Czar!

Justin Bieber Called Out For Cultural Appropriation After Debuting Dreadlocks

Pop star Justin Bieber is once again being called out for cultural appropriation. This comes after the singer debuted a controversial new look over the weekend.

Justin Bieber took to Instagram to post a series of images alongside his wife Hailey on Sunday as the couple enjoyed a vacation. It wasn’t long before fans noticed that the singer was sporting a new look and began questioning what was up with the pop star’s hair. The singer then decided to give fans a closeup, posting a selfie showcasing his starter dreads hours later, on Monday morning.

As was the case in 2016 when he debuted a similar look, fans weren’t here for the hairstyle. Many called out the singer for appropriating black culture.

One Instagram user wrote, “This ain’t it but ily through it all.” Another was more direct, commenting, “this is cultural appropriation…I know you can do better.”

A third IG user wrote, “J, please educate yourself on cultural appropriation… You shouldn’t be wearing dreads. With love.”

Just as he did back in 2016, Justin has not directly addressed the comments calling him out but made his stance known about his choices. Back then, he addressed it with a video on Instagram captioning it, “Being weird is fun’ if ur not weird I don’t like you.”

In today’s instance, he posted a cryptic message to his Instagram page. The post said, “It’s power in acknowledging our insecurities, WE ALL GOT EM.”

He continued, “It’s okay to have insecurities, open up and talk about them it’s healthy.”

While several fans tried to defend the singer, many were adamant that Bieber’s white skin precluded him from wearing locs. In recent times, dreads have largely been worn by black people as a fashion statement, but for many, they have spiritual significance. Rastafarians, in particular, see them as spiritually significant and representative of their quest to let go of material possessions as well as a representation of their religious choices and beliefs.

Now while Justin has not indicated the reason for his hairstyle change, the singer has been on a spiritual journey of his own. Last year he posted images showing him and his wife getting baptized. He captioned the images, “The moment @haileybieber my wife and I got baptized together! This was one of most special moments of my life. Confessing our love and trust in Jesus publicly with our friends and family.”

Still, some folks may be reading too deeply into the hair change as it’s just a way for him to express his own “weird and fun” style, and as he calls it and he’s letting everyone know that he’s secure enough with himself to try just about anything.

Justin Bieber previously came under fire for cultural appropriation when he released his 2015 song, “Sorry”, which borrows a lot of its elements from reggae/dancehall music even the fashion and choreography in the music video. At the time, Bieber did not give credit to Jamaican music culture. However, in an interview with DJ Khaled last month, the Canadian heartthrob admitted that he was influenced by reggae/dancehall.

justin sweetheart you have to understand that to support black people and the anti racism movement you have to be coherent to what you preach and that means not doing cultural appropriation ever

dreadlocks do not look good on you @justinbieber

Justin needs to look into why dreadlocks are considered to be cultural appropriation. If he educated himself on this topic, he wouldn't be doing it

Jamaica PM Andrew Holness Unapologetic About Dancehall Contributing To Crime

The Jamaican Prime Minister is doubling down on dancehall music, being a major contributor to the high crime rate in the country.

Crime has long been a growing epidemic in Jamaica that governments are often stumped with. The disturbing outbreak of violence is so outrageous that Jamaica is recognized as a country with one of the highest crime rates in the world. While this is not at all new and historically was spurred on by violent political strategies, the current government is calling for dancehall music to start observing a social responsibility to young listeners.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness was recently criticized by music artists and fans for a statement regarding dancehall being a main cause of violence in Jamaica. Nevertheless, he is doubling down on his stance and is having the discussion yet again in his recent parliamentary meeting. The Most Honorable Andrew Holness, also known as BroGad, seems to be offering a blanket response to the counter-arguments from dancehall artists who have reacted to his previous remarks.

“In as much as you are free to reflect what is happening in the society, you also have a duty to place it in context,” he said. “That is not right, and though you have the protection of the constitution to sing about it, you also have a duty to the children who are listening to you to say ‘man, that is not right,’” he added.

Holness implied that artists are selective of which crimes to lash out on and maintained that all forms of violence are wrong. He went on to say that as a society, we “are not yet serious” if we cannot see that, and our outrage is short-lived. The public has had the opportunity to weigh in on the debate on social media, and while some agree with the negative influence of dancehall music on society. Many do not concur with the implication that it is responsible for the spike in the crime rate.

PM Andrew Holness, Ce’Cile & Agent Sasco

In one retort, an Instagram user commented, “Kmt you can’t control crime an a try turn on the music. Move a gweh. Look pan movies, tv, games, plus a who guh buy dub plates fi promotion. Bredda u did seh we ago can sleep wid wi doors open. Gwaan guh fix crime an low the art form that is providing a way out, U hear nuh artist a seh kidnap woman an kill them?” Another more succinct comment read, “it’s all about the person mindset.”

On the other side of the spectrum, some chimed in to say the PM’s speech was “facts.” Interestingly, it is also a fact that even decades ago, when there were no artists singing about “tek up the AK-47 and dun it inna man head” as Holness puts it, crime was also at a high rate in Jamaica. Fueled by the divide promoted by political parties, even socially conscious singer Bob Marley himself was a target of assassination attempts. Marley sang about unity and love and tried to get opposing parties to reconcile for the goodness of the country. However, crime was still at a significant level because of root causes like poverty, lack of opportunities, and of course, poor leadership (parenting, country leaders, etc.)

Some argue that that was then and this is now but just like traditions are passed down, so is the landscape of a country’s culture and the foundation that has long been set by our ancestors. Oftentimes, we understand our parents so much better after we see how they grew up, what their influences were and how what they were conditioned to believe. The same can be said about the areas where crime is concentrated in Jamaica and why it has remained so. While it is true that dancehall needs not perpetuate the idea of crime further, the positivity that Prime Minister Andrew Holness calls for it to promote is also present in the genre.

Jamaican artists sing about guns and violence but they also sing about love, struggles, hope, dreams, and other realities. Fans decide which songs get popular and which get lost in the sea of the oversaturated music industry. That being said, while a correlation is being drawn to crime and dancehall music, perhaps it is an inherent desire of the listener that drives the song and not the words of the artist that drives the crime. One Instagram user who weighed in on the matter said, “Bro the amount of positive songs out there and nobody paying them any attention, people gravitate towards the hardcore music, that is why the artiste supply the market with that type of music.”

Would Vybz Kartel be the most popular dancehall artist had it not been for the fans? More importantly, did fans gravitate towards him because of his relatability which could only come from him articulating what already exists? Based on the comments that are pouring in on the topic of Andrew Holness’s controversial statement, some believe that dancehall is being used as a scapegoat. “Gun violence and crime was around long before man an man start sing bout it. Politicians always trying to point finger and blame the citizen them,” wrote one user. “If the artist dem stop sing gun tune today crime nah move and that’s a fact,” another added.

Some also accused the PM of being a hypocrite as many dancehall artists remixed similar songs when they were called upon to promote political campaigns during the national election. “Oh but dancehall can promote politics with the same sort of songs for your campaign,” one fan wrote. Others defended Holness and his agenda, saying he is not hating on the music but rather is calling for dancehall artists to discourage violence in their songs. Again, this is done all the time in dancehall as even the biggest artists like Vybz Kartel and Mavado have contradicted previous releases by encouraging unity and the youth to refrain from crime and violence.

Like businesses, artists also have a social responsibility which they often honor with uplifting music that never gets as much attention as they ought to. However, when they sing about “badness,” fans love them for it while the government hates them for it. Music is not the only form of influential media, and dancehall is not the only genre that promotes a gangster lifestyle, so how did it suddenly become the cause of violence in Jamaica? It’s easy to pass the blame onto a large industry that has a major influence on the people, but how thorough was the research that brought politicians to this conclusion? As one commenter said, “Artist sing about the violence and the politicians provide the guns!”

The constant pointing of fingers only ignores the real source of the problem. It is no coincidence that Jamaica not only has a high crime rate but also a high poverty rate. It is no coincidence that the most crime-ridden communities are some of the poorest in the country. Should we ask an inner-city youth who grew up around violence and later adopted the lifestyle why he needs a gun or why he commits crimes? Do we genuinely believe that even one of them would say dancehall music? The widespread discourse on the matter comes from varying perspectives, none of which take into account the plight of the ghetto youth. “Why we nuh talk bout the abuse and parenting and leadership issues… a desso it start,” one citizen questioned.

What’s ironic is that the national outrage stemming from the vast increase in gender-based violence like rape – something dancehall never promotes – is what initiated the discourse on the source of crime in the first place. Perhaps our MPs ought to armor up, visit our troubled communities and hear straight from the horse’s mouth what is actually lacking that would drive them to a life of crime. Here they might uncover the seed of the worsening epidemic.

Rihanna Live Her Best Life With Friends In Venice Beach Goes Unnoticed By Fans

Rihanna and her friends were spotted in living her best life in Venice Beach, California, last weekend.

While clad in an oversized black jacket, t-shirt, sweats, and sneakers, the singer was seen vibing and dancing with friends on the California boardwalk. She also appeared to be smoking a blunt in one clip. The singer was wearing a mask and black sunglasses, which allowed her the anonymity and freedom to roam around unnoticed by her many fans.

In recent times, the Grammy award-winning singer, who is rumored to be dating rapper ASAP Rocky, has perfected the heart of keeping a pretty low profile. The ‘couple’ recently vacationed in Rihanna’s homeland Barbados for the Christmas holidays. They were seen holding hands, kissing, and enjoying drinks on the high seas.

While the singer enjoys her new relationship, fans have been anxiously awaiting her ninth album. Rihanna has confirmed the reggae-inspired album is complete, but the work has yet to be forthcoming. Instead, the singer has been spending time working on her Fenty Beauty makeup line and her lingerie brand, which have both been a huge success.

In recent weeks, she registered a new trademark – Fenty Hair, which has many fans thinking she’ll be entering the hair care market. The trademark reportedly covers shampoo, hair restoration products, hair styling implements, and a host of other products.

While there’s no doubt, the “Good Girl Gone Bad” singer will be successful in whatever she decides to pursue, it’s safe to say fans are still salty over the 5-year wait for an album. She last released “Anti” in 2016. No wonder the singer living it up in Venice Beach upset fans, who questioned her about the album she had promised.

One Instagram user wrote, “No one cares, drop an album!” while another simply said, “We still waiting for that album RiRi.”
