Did Offset pulled reference lyric about Saweetie from his new song with IDK?

It seems that the bitterness from Saweetie and Quavo’s break up has run into the rest of the Migos group as it is now speculated that a song by IDK which features Offset has been refined to remove a reference to Saweetie.

The song “Shoot my Shot” received a lot of attention for the reference to the Los Angeles rapper. However, following the breakup, it seems that Migos are erasing any and all connections to Saweetie, who has dated Migos member Quavo and had a bitter breakup that continues to see drama from both sides.

Some blogs and fans are interpreting the development of IDK’s new song with Offset as coming off as another layer of Quavo’s ongoing feud against his ex-girlfriend. Neither of the rappers have anything to do with the song, but it seems that the lyric being changed at the last minute is telling a different story.

The latest version of the lyric reads – “Say she like to do the lounge, she don’t f*ck with the clubs/My type, my type, yeah, yeah, my type,” raps IDK in his verse in the officially released version of “SHOOT MY SHOT.”

The latest audio is an alteration, however, of the original verse that shouts out Saweetie. The original lyrics include the lines, “Say she like to do the lounge, she don’t f*ck with the clubs/My type, my type, like Saweetie, my type.” The verse still references the rapper’s hit record “My Type,” which many persons would know is an indirect reference to Saweetie even if her name is removed. It seems as though Offset (or is it really Quavo?) took issue with it and asked for it to be changed.

Fans, on the other hand, are of the opinion that the group is bullying Saweetie while also riding on her coat tail and using her song for relevance. “They clout chasing HER atp,” one person commented. Some fans, though, think it is good that the name was removed as it can be misinterpreted as a beef with Saweetie. “if he would of [sic] kept it on there y’all would of said they firing shots….grow to ppl.”

NBA YoungBoy Dramatic Arrest Video Surface, Twitter Blames Tekashi69

Dramatic video footage of the moments leading up to the arrest of troubled 21-year-old rapper YoungBoy NBA has emerged and some folks on Twitter are pointing fingers to Tekashi69.

The rapper reportedly attempted to flee from the authorities after police pulled him over to arrest him on a federal warrant in Los Angeles yesterday. While NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, is not seen in the video, at least two police vehicles can be seen manning a cordoned-off street. A helicopter can also be seen hovering overhead while cops and K-9 searched the area on the ground.

A police speaker is heard playing the message, “Come out with your hands raised and follow directions. If you do not, a police dog will be used to find you.

It’s not clear how long the rapper eluded the police, but he was eventually brought in and remained in custody. Details of the circumstances surrounding the warrant for his arrest are still not forthcoming.

Overnight, calls for the rapper’s freedom have begun to trend on social media. The hashtag ‘FreeYoungboy’ has been used more than 113,000 times on Instagram and is also trending on Facebook.

One fan on Facebook said, “Youngboy really predicted this arrest in a song after they picked up 69 , IYKTYK #FreeYoungboy”, while another showed solidarity saying “#FREEYOUNGBOY… we going to hold it down until you get home.. lil brother” followed by a green heart emoticon. Urban Islandz recently reported that YoungBoy turned down a $1 million offer to collaborate with Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Sadly, the rapper’s loyal fanbase has grown accustomed to his legal woes. At the end of 2019, a judge granted the rapper an early release from house arrest, which he was sentenced to for his involvement in a 2016 Florida shooting incident that left an innocent bystander dead.

On the day of his release in 2019, James Manasseh, who was Youngboy’s attorney, said the Baton Rouge rapper would be possibly moving to Los Angeles. “Being in Baton Rouge isn’t conducive to him being able to grow and move forward,” his attorney had said.

It turns out that there is much trouble in the big city for the Southern rapper.

YG Shoots “FTP” Music Video With 50K Black Lives Matter Protesters In Los Angeles

YG’s next music video will feature a massive crowd of Black Lives Matter protestors in Los Angeles.

Protests are continuing to draw huge crowds across the country in response to racial injustice and police violence in America over the last week, including a Los Angeles event that attracted over 50k attendees. In addition to many other celebrities who showed up to show support and solidarity, rapper YG used the historic moment as a backdrop for his music video for “F**k the Police.” During a short clip released by TMZ, the Compton native can be seen facing the camera in a sea of protesters who are chanting the lyrics and dancing.

While the L.A. protest was minimally policed and remained peaceful, other areas of the country have experienced violence at the hands of militarized police forces while attempting to peacefully protest.

YG’s choice to film his video at a protest may seem opportunistic to some, but others argue that his decision to use the phrase popularized by NWA in the 1990s is appropriate for the circumstances, resonating just as deeply today with many Black Americans who feel that the institution of policing in America is in direct opposition to equality.

The L.A. protest included some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Jamie Foxx, J Lo, and Marlon Wayans. This large celebrity presence and the financial involvement of several major corporations is just one way that the current movement seems to be markedly different from past responses to incidences of police brutality.

In addition to the continuing discussion that seems to be staying in the headlines rather than falling by the wayside, policy changes and significant shifts within local governments have also been occurring across the country, making some activists and supporters express their optimism for the future of racial justice. While YG’s song may be well suited for the times, let’s hope that we are headed towards a future where such righteous anger is no longer necessary.
