Vybz Kartel debuts his new single “Miss Your Call (Euphoria Remix).”
The original version of the single was released earlier this year as a bit of a dedication to his baby mama “Tanesha “Shorty” Johnson. “Wa a gwaan Shorty, Am so sorry, say mi miss your call, And I promise you, that I’ll always be there, I don’t want to miss a thing, I can’t get enough of your life,” Kartel sings over a techno beat produced by South Trade Records and High Stakes Records.
Vybz Kartel already has his fans on high alert for five new singles coming this month, but it’s a preview of his new single “One Box” that is stirring up some controversies. Some dancehall fans think that the single is promoting domestic violence against women. But it’s still too early to make a solid judgment with only a short snippet of the song released. The full version of the song will be released in January.
Kartel, who is currently in prison for murder, is awaiting his appeal trial in July next year, after being pushed back from February. The dancehall star maintained his innocence and is confident that the appeal court will vindicate him.
Vybz Kartel dedicates his new single to his mother, “Thank You Mama.”
The mama anthem was produced by Jones Ave Record, the same producer behind his viral hit “Mhm Hm.” “She cook me food that make me stronger / I got to testify that mommy I love you / Gave me all woh whats the charge / She said no cost, she said I love you you / Thank you mama,” Kartel deejay over an upbeat dancehall riddim.
Vybz Kartel told his fans at the end of the summer that he would be dropping a ton of new music leading up to the holiday season and he has been making good on his promise, dropping an average of two songs per week. He currently has around three songs in the top ten dancehall songs in Jamaica right now and this new track sounds like another hit for the Gazanation deejay.

Vybz Kartel and Rvssian teams up for a new single “Kremlin” featured on the producer’s new beat, Moscow Riddim.
For the last two months, Vybz Kartel has been dropping an average of two songs per week and almost all of them have been hits. There were some rumors claiming that the Gazanation deejay had stopped voicing for Rvssian, but that’s clearly not the case and this track pretty much respond to those critics.
“How yo mean mi naan voice for Rvssian / Yow Tarik yo hear the pu**y them,” Kartel said in the intro while laughing. “Kahira get a almanac, bet unno say Adidja a / A go run the place all when me .50, what a caliber / Higher than the Dutch inna the coffee shop / So me trick the trickster with the dove inna the magic hat
Huh, see say dem a copy cat / A no nothing that me a the prototype, the quintessential,” Kartel spits over a bass heavy beat.
Vybz Kartel also pays homage to his hometown Waterford in Portmore. Last weekend, the deejay released two music videos, “Don’t Come Back” and his viral hit “Mhm Hm.” Listen Vybz Kartel new single “Kremlin” below.
