Watch Vybz Kartel “Mhm Hm” Video

Vybz Kartel drop three music videos this weekend but perhaps the most anticipated of all of them is “Mhm Hm.”

The single went viral following its released last month and triggered a massive sales boast for oatmeal, peanuts and Suppligen in Jamaica, that’s the power of Vybz Kartel. The cut was directed by Dameon Gayle of Terminal 4 Media. Since round the end of the summer this year, Kartel released more than a dozen new singles, but this is a fan favorite. He also released another video for his single “Don’t Come Back.”

Vybz Kartel received some criticisms over the summer from some dancehall fans for not releasing enough new music. Now that he has responded to fans plea for more new material, they can’t get enough. “Mhm Hm” received close to 3.5 million views on YouTube in the first month of being released, clocking roughly 1 million views per week.

Vybz Kartel drops the visual for his catchy single “Don’t Come Back” a track where he took shots at his baby mama Shorty.

The track was produced by Vybz Kartel Muzik while the cut was directed Dameon Gayle and shot in Kingston earlier this month. The 3-minute video features two dance crews going up against each other in an epic dance-off. “Don’t Come Back” was released just over a week ago and immediately sparked some controversy over some of the lyrics which some fans think is a shot at his common-law wife Tanesha “Shorty” Johnson.

“Gyal pack up her things, fuck you / Talk ’bout me a stale news (ooh) / Gwaan then but don’t come back / When you hear Worl’ Boss got juice (ooh) / Ungrateful bitch tododooo (ooh) / Adianna and Mommy me choose (ooh),” Kartel deejay. The incarcerated deejay continues to make breakthroughs in mainstream music with one of his singles “Balle Shava” getting featured on the soundtrack for AMC’s hit supernatural action serious Preacher. Despite being locked up for the past six years, Kartel manages to maintain his presence at the top of dancehall.
