Nicki Minaj Unintentionally Embarrasses Cuban Doll For Butchering Her Lyrics

Nicki Minaj says she didn’t intentionally embarrassed Cuban Doll for butchering her lyrics on Skillibeng’s “Crocodile Teeth (Remix).”

Nicki Minaj’s Beam Me Up Scotty has been making strides in the industry, and along with fans and followers, other rappers have received the new release with positive comments and feedback.

Perhaps Cuban Doll is a big fan of the queen’s new release as on Saturday, May 22, she made a post on Instagram and captioned it with what she perceived to be a quote from Nicki’s remix of Skillibeng‘s “Crocodile Teeth”, an addition to the “Beam Me Up Scotty” mixtape.

The “Let It Blow” rapper posted a shot of her squatting in a bodysuit and heels. “My type of gal wanna know da opps out,” she captioned.

Nicki Minaj slid into the comments section of the post to correct the young rapper, typing out the correct lyrics.

“Might tek a gyal man, I know da opps out,” she wrote. Perhaps no offense was taken by Cuban Doll as she edited the caption and basically went on with her day.

“Beam Me Up Scotty” was released on all streaming services for the first time last week. The “Moment 4 Life” rapper added three new songs to the mixtape; “Seeing Green” ft. Lil Wayne and Drake, “Fractions,” and a remix of Dancehall artiste Skillibeng’s hit record “Crocodile Teeth.”

While it is not new for the Trinidadian rapper to tap into her Caribbean side in her songs, perhaps it is the dialect that sparked the confusion for Cuban Doll.

Nicki Minaj later clarified that her intention was not to embarrassed the young rapper, but just to correct her. “I hope y’all know I love Cuban,” Nicki wrote on her IG Story. “I was having fun w|her. I don’t try 2 embarrass ppl I f** wit. That’s corny. I’ll never correct a lyric ever again chile. Boom.”

Still, the Barbz are making a big deal of the mishap, exclaiming that Nicki’s lyrics were butchered by the 23-year-old rapper.

“If you don’t understand patois just use another verse bc girl,” one person suggested. Another adds, “Just archive the whole post,” while another ordered, “Say my queen lyrics properly or don’t say it at all.”

Cuban Doll was quick to make the corrections, and has so far made no comments on the issue.

Rihanna & Nicki Minaj Starts Following Each Other On IG Again, Are They Working On New Music?

Nicki Minaj and Rihanna are following each other again as the Queen rapper prepares to make her return to music.

On Monday, Nicki Minaj sent her fans into a frenzy when she posted for the first time in a while, seemingly announcing her highly anticipated return to music. The Young Money rapper who took a hiatus from the music after starting her family has kept fans wondering when she would be back ever since she announced her retirement in 2019. While she has been on a few features, we are yet to see the rapper officially re-emerge with a solo single.

Barbz may have prompted Nicki’s impromptu return after they got the #LLCParty hashtag trending on Twitter last night, leading the fan-favorite track by Minaj to become her best performing single of 2021 overnight. “LLC,” which was released as part of the rapper’s 2018 Queen album, entered the Top 30 on the US iTunes chart, which is a new peak.

Nicki Minaj took to Instagram on Monday (May 10) to post a seductive photo of herself covering her lady parts with cushions while sitting on an office desk. In the caption, the rapper wrote “FRIDAY,” leading fans to believe that the rapper has something in store for them. Along with the pleasant surprise of Nicki’s return, it turns out the rapper is also following Rihanna again and vice versa.

The Queen Radio star and Fenty Beauty boss have not been following each other on Instagram for the last couple of years. Fans suspect that the Bajan superstar unfollowed the rapper around the time she was feuding with Remy Ma, but all that seems to be a thing of the past now that they have both hit that follow button again.

Fans are speculating that the Caribbean superstars reuniting on the gram may be a sign that they’re about to drop a new song together. Given Rihanna’s similar musical hiatus, no one is quite bold enough to get their hopes up about that. However, one can dream.

Tory Lanez Dropping A ‘Reggae Capsule’ Album This Summer & Talks Caribbean Roots

Tory Lanez has disclosed his Caribbean heritage, and you’re going to be surprised about his bright and colorful heritage collage that sweeps from Dutch to English and famous family members.

Tory Lanez has spoken about his dreams and desires to use his successful platform to cement his artistry in the world to Flaunt Magazine that featured him on the front cover for April. The artist is often quoted as a Toronto rapper born and raised in Canada, where there’s a rich Caribbean heritage.

Speaking about his plans to release a Reggae Album to pay homage to his roots, the artiste, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, disclosed that his mother is from Curacao, which is Dutch, while the rest of his family is Guyanese. His father’s family is from Barbados, where Rihanna is also from, but he also dropped an interesting tidbit. He also opened up about his plans to use his music to stop wars much like Bob Marley did.

His grandfather is actually the famous cricketer Garfield Sobers, one of the best in cricket history over the last 60 years. According to Tory Lanez, “I’ve always been island-oriented.

“What a lot of people don’t know is my grandfather is Garfield Sobers—he’s one of the best cricket players in the world. I come from a long line of greatness that stems from the islands,” the “LUV” artist said.

“I’ve always wanted to make sure that, no matter what I do, I’m paying certain respects to my ancestors and ancestry. Showing certain love in reminding people where I come from. I’ll never forget where I come from,” he said.

Tory Lanez added that his upcoming reggae capsule will reflect his love and respect for the islands.

“… I always double back and show love. The people from the islands appreciate me and understand me the most. It’s a root thing, it’s a cultural thing. They deserve it all. The Reggae capsule is incredible. I mixed Reggae with a lot of Afrobeats. Its Jamaican mixed with African vibe. I have all the dope artists.”

A post shared by LONE $TONE PLAYBOY (@torylanez)

While speaking about his drive for music, the artist says he is striving to rebel from the norm.

“I want to defy the laws of music, that’s it. I want to take myself to different places and echelons, I want to do different things. The things that are the norm, I want to rebel against that. That’s the only time I could feel that way. Everything else about my music is very gray. It’s very simple-minded at the same time, but also very complex. I give people a little bit of half and half, that’s what makes people come back and listen to my music again.”

Lanez is currently under his own music label One Umbrella, which has since signed a number of artists. While no dancehall or reggae artist is signed to his label, he has several notable collaborations with some of Dancehall and Reggae’s biggest names, including Buju Banton‘s “Trust” released in 2020, Keznamdi’s City Lock released in 2020, Kranium, Sean Paul and several samples from Dancehall duo Tanto Metro and Devonte among others.

His music, too, has been well received in the Caribbean as the artist’s constant homage to dancehall has cemented for himself loyal and expectant fans who love his music.

Mavado, Masicka Reacts To PM Holness Blaming Dancehall Lyrics For High Crimes In Jamaica

Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness is criticized for his comments in the Houses of Parliament, which says that entertainers who glorify violence in their songs are contributing to the high levels of violence in the country.

There was widespread backlash from Jamaicans locally and in the Diaspora as many called the Prime Minister a hypocrite for using music as a scapegoat for his inability to lead a successful crime plan to slow the rate of murders on the island.

However, Prime Minister Andrew Holness says entertainers are free to sing about anything they want but that they should be conscientious and remember they have a duty to place their music in context.

“In our music and our culture, in as much as you are free to reflect what is happening in the society, you also have a duty to place it in context,” Holness said. “Dat yuh tek up the AK-47 and tun it inna a man head … That is not right. And though you have the protection of the constitution to sing about it, you also have a duty to the children who are listening to you.”

Jamaica recorded 1300 killings in 2020 and is among the countries in the Latin and Caribbean region with the highest homicide rate of 46.5 per 100,000 people. Jamaicans are particularly furious at the Prime Minister, who, while being a critic of dancehall, revels in the names and labels given to him emanating from dancehall culture.

Bounty Killer, PM Andrew Holness and Tony Rebel

One of those is the fact that the Prime Minister is one known to wear his green Clarks- a style of shoes popular in dancehall. The Prime Minister also goes by a moniker “Bro Gad” – a term that Daddy1 from the 6IX crew in Montego Bay coined and has since been synonymous with scammers and gang leaders. In spite of this, the Prime Minister proudly named his Twitter account “Hon. Bro Gad,” and even sported hats and shirts with the Moniker.

That’s not the only thing that they are upset about, including artists who voiced their thoughts. Many are angry that the Prime Minister proudly used the same singers his comments were directed to create dubplates- musical jingles for his election campaign that saw him winning in a landslide victory.

Many artists lashed out at the Prime Minister for his comments, including Mavado, who pointed out that entertainers are not voted in to lead, and it isn’t their job to control crime.

“Why is this man blaming crime on music every prime minister that the ppl vote in when dem get them Blood**tt seat to work Dem fail and come point fingers well we pointing right back at you, what about all the grants dat you and your parliamentarians get to take care of crime billions,” Mavado asked. “that has nothing to do with entertainment no one voted for us to lead that’s your job! what u need to do is clean up your corrupted Goverment and stop intimidate the people! Tyad a you.”

A post shared by David Brooks (@mavadogully)

Masicka, who did a dub using his “Just A Minute,” single for the Prime Minister during the last election called “Win It in A Minute” dub, also reacted to Andrew Holness’s comments admitting that he never voted and never will.

“Bro gad. Boy Jamaicaa sorry fi uno. Once gunman song stop the crime stop fi true,” he said. “Educate uno self ghetto utes make some money. Protect uno self ghetto and family. Educate ddem too. Illiteracy a the reason we just follow everything. Never vote, never will.”

Tanya Stephens also reacted to the Prime Minister’s comments by reposting a screenshot of the PM’s comment with the caption “a bit of early morning humour.”

Many Jamaicans took to social media as they added their two cents to the unfolding drama that will likely further the rift between the entertainment industry and the government.

One person said, “violence been here before msic…so why u want to mess up the culture cause u can’t control the crime rate. Music is not the problem. It’s poverty and they know that but they playing smart. Hoping the people will be dumb enough to accept it.”

Meanwhile, there were voices in defense of the Prime Minister as some asked “when or where did the PM blame dancehall for crime and violence,” as they pointed out that the PM’s comments were directed to some entertainers.

The Prime Minister was joined by a number of other parliamentarians who noted their disappointment at the spate of killings over the weekend, including the death of a 20- year old- Khanice Jackson, who went missing last week then her body was found. She was speculated to be raped then murdered.

Police later arrested and charged her neighbor, 50-year-old Robert Fowler, who confessed to the killing. Police say Fowler confessed that he killed the young lady at his house after pretending that he forgot his work tools at home. He was known to her and her family and would regularly offer to drop her at work as he also worked in the same area in Cross Roads, Kingston. Police say Fowler kept her body at the house all day and in the night dumped it in a local swampy area. She was found with just a top and her underwear was missing.

The Minister of Gender Affairs, Olivia Babsy Grange, in lamenting the deaths of women, said domestic violence is an epidemic in Jamaica.

“It is on a sombre note and with pain in my heart that I stand to give voice to the now suppressed voices of our sisters who have been brutally killed in the epidemic of domestic violence in our country. Killed because some man felt he had the right to decide whom she should love or that she should continue in an abusive relationship, regardless. Killed because she did not have the physical strength to fight back, as, intimidated and threatened, she kept silence till the moment of her death,” Grange said.

“If we all cannot protect our women and girls, our most vulnerable, from such horrible acts of violence, how do we even see ourselves as a civilised society? At what point do we say enough is enough?,” Grange asked fellow elected representatives.

Justin Bieber On If He’s Influenced By Reggae/Dancehall, “The Answer Is Yes”

Justin Bieber says he is influenced by reggae/dancehall music but failed to meet the low bar in giving Jamaican music its proper credit.

As a world advocate for reggae and dancehall music and Jamaica as a whole, DJ Khaled never fails to give credit to dancehall culture, which is not only a part of his roots but has spawned multiple hits for him. Khaled recently had the opportunity to interview Justin Bieber amidst the release of his latest album, Justice, and the hitmaking producer asked the pop superstar about dancehall’s influence on his own music.

Justin Bieber sparked some controversy back in 2015 with his monstrous comeback hit “Sorry” from his album Purpose. The popular track had that rhythmic dancehall flavor and bassline, and its accompanying music video featured styles and dances from dancehall culture. What most local dancehall artists and fans took issue with was the fact that the genre was never credited at any opportunity for its obvious influence on the record.

The producer behind the No. 1 track regularly dabbles in dancehall and reggae sounds and has often tipped his hat to the culture for influencing his productions. From interviews to award stages, Skrillex laments his fandom of the commonly-sampled genre time and time again. However, as if prohibited to do so, the word “dancehall” has never publicly escaped artists like Justin Bieber’s lips. DJ Khaled asked about “Sorry,” particularly during his recent interview with the pop superstar on his First One with DJ Khaled podcast on Amazon Music.

“The record ‘Sorry,’ it has that dancehall feel. I love Jamaica. I love reggae, I love dancehall music. It wouldn’t be no DJ Khaled if Khaled didn’t break out of dancehall. It’s part of my story and who I am,” Khaled said. “What inspired you to make that record? Are you influenced by reggae music/dancehall music?”

In response, Justin told Khaled, “So the answer is yes. I am inspired by really all music but in particular I love island music. I love the feel of just the percussion, you know, I’m a drummer so that percussion it moves me. It makes me want to dance.”

“I wanna make music for the world,” Bieber continues. “I don’t want to get caught up being too isolated. I want to make music that impacts everybody of all cultures, all ethnicities, all shapes and sizes.”

Justin, who is a self-taught musician, has been playing the drums since he was a toddler. After teaming up with several renowned music producers influenced by reggae and dancehall sounds, he has created a number of similar dancehall flavored records – all of which went unattributed to the originating culture.

One of the major producers that Justin has worked with in the past who has faced similar criticism is Major Lazer, a group that is undoubtedly the product of an amalgamation of genres like dancehall, Afro-beats, EDM, and more. While one of its members is Jamaican, admitting the influence of dancehall on their records has seemed to be as difficult for them as it is for Justin. They too have faced backlash for cultural appropriation in addition to artists like Drake and Kanye West.

The artists who tend to give dancehall the respect it deserves pretty much grew up on it themselves as Caribbean natives. Namely, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj often highlight the undeniable impact of the genre and raise awareness of its prior existence.

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” which was one of the biggest records of 2015, broke a number of streaming records in multiple regions, and the visuals currently boast more than 3.5 billion views on YouTube, ranking as the platform’s 13th most viewed video. It unquestionably catalyzed the renewed interest in dancehall-influenced mainstream music and was the start of an onslaught of tracks by various artists that were clearly products of dancehall culture.

As for when dancehall will actually be named by some mainstream artists as a major influence and stop being whitewashed by mainstream music media with empty terms like “Island music,” “Tropical House,” and “Caribbean-flavored,” we will have to wait and see.

Cardi B Explains How Rihanna & Jay-Z Inspired Her To Become A Billionaire

Cardi B says she looks up to Rihanna as she aspires to reach the same level of success as billionaire status, which Rihanna and Jay-Z have accomplished in a short frame of time.

Rihanna is becoming known as a business maestro as she sweeps the fashion industry with her Fenty brands that include lingerie, skincare, makeup and beauty, and luxury fashions, and now she’s seemingly about to enter the haircare industry – a multi-billion dollar industry due to the popularity of wigs and lace fronts and fashionable hairstyles without damaging the natural hair.

According to Cardi B, her biggest influences are Rihanna and Jay-Z, and she wants the same level of success. Speaking to Stationhead this week, she says her aspirations have transformed from the time she entered music to now as she sees the possibilities.

“When I came to the game and people used to be like, ‘who do you look up to?’ I always used to say, ‘I don’t look up to nobody,’ because I didn’t really understand the game and I only feel like I got influenced by the people that was around me,” she explained.

She added, “But now that I’m at the level that I am at, one of my biggest influences is Rihanna and Jay-Z. And I’m not saying it to kiss ass or anything. I just feel like they’re so influential because Rihanna comes from a country, a Caribbean country, that my parents came from and she’s a whole billionaire.”

Rihanna, who was born in Barbados to a Bajan father and a Guyanese mother, was discovered in her teenage years, after which she migrated to the United States to pursue her music dreams. Over the last five years, she has been working on her business empire, which has transformed the financial ranking of the “Umbrella” artist.

Earlier this year, Forbes reported that Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty company had reached $1 billion in valuation that made her become the world’s richest female musician. Cardi B, on the other hand, is a first-generation American born to parents who are from the Dominican Republic, so the fact that Rihanna has achieved that much seems to resonate with Cardi.

“For her to make her business so big and be a billionaire, that’s what I strive to be. That’s what I want. I want to be a billion dollar woman. I want to build a huge brand,” she added.

She also associated her experiences with Jay-Z, who she says “was from the hood like me.” Cardi B grew up in the tough Bronx New York neighborhood and got her big break in reality TV after building a reputation as a stripper turned rapper.

“He’s from the hood and this man’s a whole billionaire. And that’s just all about strategy and that’s just all about shaking hands, that’s just all about putting plans together.”

Earlier this month, Jay-Z’s net worth increased from $1 billion to $1.4 billion after he sold shares in his champagne company Armand de Brignac to the luxury brand owner LVMH as well as selling his shares in Tidal to the Jack Dorsey owned Square.

Meanwhile, Cardi B has been changing her strategies as she has pivoted from music as her only source of income and has several movies coming out soon. The multi-talented Grammy-winning rapper has also appeared in many commercials as she puts her acting chops on display.

Earlier this week, she caused quite a stir when she posted a picture on Instagram in which she is wearing a diamond-encrusted pendant featuring the Hindu god Ganesha. The Hindu community found the picture in poor taste, and of course, some of the comments likened the act to “cultural appropriation.” This is not the first time the singer was accused of this, as in October 2020, she issued an apology for using a song that sampled Islamic text in her Savage X Fenty fashion show.

However, it seems all have been forgiven for now! Happy Birthday, Rihanna!

Queen Of Dancehall Spice Announces Debut Album “TEN” Dropping Soon

Spice announced that her debut album TEN is coming soon.

After ten long years of being signed to her label, Spice revealed that she is finally dropping an album. The dancehall veteran who has been in the industry for a couple of decades at least signed a multi-album deal with VP Records in July 2009. It only took a dozen years, but the label is finally releasing the dancehall star’s first album TEN.

Spice recently did a sit-down video interview with Robbo Ranx on Robbo Ranx Radio, where she made the big announcement. “I’ve been signed to a label for ten years and now I’m finally dropping my 1st album… it’s gonna be called TEN!” an excited Spice revealed.

While Robbo Raanx was first to break the news, Spice reshared the quote in a post on Instagram with the caption, “The gate pull [laughing emoji] After ten years my Album is finally “COMING SOON” All we need is a good release date from you below @robboranxradio @vprecords ready?” The dancehall star is getting fans involved in the decision making which they are quite excited about.

They have suggested different dates that seem to be fated, while some want her to release the album on her birthday, which is in August. Though it wasn’t asked of them, others chimed in with suggestions for collaborations dropping names like Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. Cardi, who has a Caribbean background, is a longtime fan of Spice which she has pointed out to the dancehall star when they cross paths like at award shows. Plus, they now share that Love & Hip-Hop background, so perhaps the prospect of a joint track isn’t exactly far-fetched.

In the comments, fans took the opportunity to call out the label that signed a “multi-album” deal with Spice but only just now decided to release her very first album after more than ten years. “@vprecords longtime unnu did fi just let her release a album or release her too damn wicked. But Thanks for the album,” one stan wrote.

It’s official, Spice’s album is coming soon. Do you think it’s long overdue?

Offset Whisk Cardi B & Kulture Off To An Island For A Valentine’s Day Baecation

Offset whisk away Cardi B and their daughter Kulture to the Caribbean for Valentine’s Day vacation.

While most of us are gifting our significant others with jewelry, roses, and chocolate for Valentine’s Day, Offset sets the bar to a whole new level when he surprised his wife Cardi B with a vacation to the island. Sources told Urban Islandz that the Migos rapper had been planning the trip for a while and kept it a secret from Cardi until days before leaving.

We’re told that Set rented out a private villa decked out with hundreds of red roses and completed with a 24-hour staff, including personal chefs and babysitters. Offset also got a ton of gifts for both Cardi B and their daughter Kulture that he will be giving them on Sunday, when they celebrate Valentine’s Day and will have a private dinner.

The Bronx rapper gave fans a tour of their private villa in a series of videos posted on her Instagram Story. She was evidently swept off her feet by the Atlanta trapper. “You did this for me babe?” she asked, to which he replied, “Yes.” She later added, “This is so beautiful. I feel loved, guys.”

Set also shared a clip of himself and Kulture walking on the white sandy beach. It’s clear that he’s enjoying the warm Caribbean weather, which is a far cry from the cold weather in Atlanta currently.

Offset and Cardi B are in a great place right now following a near divorce in September last year when she abruptly filed for divorce in Atlanta. The pair once again managed to patch things up and have been quietly working on their marriage since then.

Cardi tweeted that she forgot to bring her Old Bay on the trip with her. No, she isn’t talking about her ex; she means the iconic Old Bay seasoning.

Sooo mad ain’t bring old bay to this trip ????Only fucckin thing missing -_-

Rihanna Shows Plenty Cleavage On Date Night With A$AP Rocky

Fans are raving about Rihanna’s latest outfit for a night out with A$AP Rocky.

As one of the biggest female style icons on the planet, Rihanna tends to turn heads everywhere she goes. During her latest buzzworthy outing, the Savage X Fenty boss was spotted in a sexy leather ensemble while out in New York for dinner with her rumored boyfriend A$AP Rocky.

The beauty and fashion mogul was showing cleavage in an alluring mesh and leather pairing. Clad in an unbuttoned Bottega Veneta leather shirt that is worth around $4,000 according to Page Six, RiRi gave onlookers a glimpse of her black mesh bra and distinguishing chest tattoo.

The singer also donned a mesh Bottega Veneta coat and vintage YSL fur with white pumps and an R13 baseball cap. The overall look captured the attention of fans and admirers, some of who are probably extremely jealous of A$AP Rocky right now.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky just recently returned from their Christmas trip in Barbados where they were seen hand in hand on a pier enjoying some quality time. The couple met up in New York on Monday to have dinner at popular Italian restaurant Emilio’s Ballato.

According to ENews, a source says they arrived separately. “They entered the restaurant through different doors and tried to be discreet. A$AP Rocky entered behind a bodyguard and ducked inside quickly. Once everyone arrived, they sat together with a group of friends,” the source said. The couple also left the restaurant separately as according to this source, “They stayed for over two hours before leaving separately. Rihanna left with friends and avoided being seen with Rocky.”

The dinner was reportedly held to honor late A$AP Mob artist A$AP Yams, who died on January 18, 2015. Every year on the anniversary of his death, the Mob gathers for “Yams Day”. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were even spotted together at last year’s tribute in New York City, the 2020 Yams Day Benefit Concert.

Rihanna and A$AP have been trying to keep their relationship under wraps, but she is taking him home to the Caribbean and showing up two consecutive years to honor his departed friend. It’s safe to say these two are emotionally invested.

Do you think the couple has big Valentine’s Day plans?

Majah Hype Says He’s Getting Death Threats Following Split From Ex

Majah Hype says he is getting death threats following a bitter split with his ex-girlfriend.

It has been more than a month now since the world was made aware of the struggles both Majah Hype and his estranged wife Latisha Kirby were putting each other through. The varying forms of abuse from both sides sent shockwaves through the entire Caribbean and its diaspora. Following the release of multiple sex tapes starring Kirby and other men, accusations of physical abuse, and images of Majah Hype wearing female underwear, it seems things are once again heating up. The Caribbean Comedian took to his Instagram account to alert his over 1 million followers of threats he has been receiving from someone associated with Kirby.

“I’m so tired of all this bulls**t and I’m done with the silence you got your girl back that you never really wanted in the first place, you f**ked up my kids and our family now I’m hearing about knowing my address and who gonna kill who when they see me? I left New York to get away from the low life’s and to give my kids a future why the f**k y’all keep calling up my name in f**kery? Why the lies and threats? Y’all not satisfied yet?” Majah questioned.

“LISTEN LEAVE ME AND MY F***ING KIDS ALONE GO BE HAPPY WITH YOUR SLAVE, IM HAPPY FOR YALL!!!” Majah Hype typed while expressing that he simply wants to be left alone.

The post was deleted from Majah’s Instagram page.

Following the removal of the post, Majah Hype took to IG LIVE to put a face to what he previously wrote. The subject matter of his LIVE centered around the main aggressor winning over Kirby through manipulation, a tactic he has supposedly been using since she was 15 years old. Majah Hype refrained from naming the person in question. Concerned fans advised Majah to not take the threats lightly and further urged him to file a proper report with the police.

Over the Holiday season, there were rumors that Majah and his wife had worked out their differences. Social media personnel Babbzy silenced those rumors and made mention that the matter will is even more serious now that the matter will be taken to court.

“Let me advise you that this situation has reached the stages that things have gone legal and NO @kirbyfbaby is not back together with the Whitney Houston Blogger. She is taking the time she needs to heal and NO she did not release the photos of him in a G-string panty. ?She has remained silent because thats (sic) what you so when you need to rebuild and heal. You all have dragged her to shreds she has no need to be on social media while she deals with this life storm,” Babbzy mentioned.

Majah Hype Hints He’s Back With Kirby Amid Leaked Photos Of Him In Female Underwear

Majah Hype left fans confused after hinting that he and Latisha Kirby are back together.

Here lies a classic case of love conquering all, as it seems Majah Hype and Latisha Kirby are looking to mend fences and start anew. Could this be the epilogue of the nailbiting drama series Caribbean nationals have been locked into for the last couple of months? It all started after Kirby accused Majah Hype of physically abusing her. This was followed up by the release of a sex tape starring Kirby and another man, a clip which Kirby explained was years before she started to date Majah Hype.

The comedian then hopped onto his IG Live session to reveal that he was molested in his youth, as well as spoke of the abuse, verbal and emotional, that he received from Kirby. He also showed his thousands of viewers numerous sexually explicit photos, which he pulled from his estranged wife’s phone.

A few days later would see the release of 4 other videos of Kirby engaging in sexual activities with other men. Majah refrained from commenting on the videos. Armed with a Vybz Kartel cosign and a brand new release of his own, the comedian seemingly washed his hands of the situation and got back to his comedic routines.

Things have remained quiet on the front of Majah and his wife for the past couple of weeks, as other drama consumed the attention of dancehall fans. The latest round of leaked images, this time of Majah Hype himself, has pumped new life into their personal battle. The gallery of photos shows Majah provocatively dressed in black, laced, female underwear. It’s unclear if the images are recent.

One recent reveal seems to be Majah and his wife Kirby getting back together. The comedian took to his Instagram account to share an image of himself holding the hand of who many perceive is his estranged ex-fiancee, Kirby. Her face is not included in the shot, but social media detectives have used the nail polish colors being sported as evidence of her presence.

According to Majah Hype, “A man that s truly genuine does not keep changing his colors. Real gold never rusts. If someone is really solid and golden, they will be unbreakable. Not even time can destroy its shine.”

He has not yet confirmed if they are indeed back together, but this would mean a great deal of good for Hype, who is currently up against three civil lawsuits filed by Kirby.

Dave – Location Lyrics

[Intro]
JAE5

[Chorus: Burna Boy]
If you send me the location
Then I’ll be right there
Let me come, come check you, my baby
No time, no
And my dawg is on probation
Another 5 years
Me bring girls to his location
No time, no

[Verse 1: Dave]
Send me the location
This year ’bout vacations
Flight catching, train taking
Soon as my nigga off probation
Your boyfriend’s on a waiting ting
Looking for one wish, on a Ray J ting
I pree’d that girl, outrageous ting
But she can’t see ’cause I got shades and ting
Bare girls wanna throw shade and ting
No shade, what shade is your foundation in?
Darkest grey, the shade I’m in
49 more if your babes wants in
I had me a famous ting
Goals and tings, gains and tings
My house party a babe station
Girls wanna chase, it’s a status ting

[Chorus: Burna Boy]
If you send me the location
Then I’ll be right there
Let me come, come check you, my baby
No time, no
And my dawg is on probation
Another 5 years
Me bring girls to his location
No time, no

[Verse 2: Dave]
Look, playboy, I don’t need a Carti
I’m captain, I lead the army
Bad ratio, I leave the party
Three Somalis creepin’ on me
Your ex wavy, we tsunami
Girl from India, sweet as naani
Head so good, now I speak Gujarati
You hardly, pardon me, I’m laughing again
I assisted, man, passed to my friend
Look, money like the alphabet
If you wanna see P’s, gotta pass on the ends
Came a long way from a park in the bends
To an ’18 plate, man’s parking a Benz
Far from the rest but I’m far from my best
Life is a lesson, I’m passing a test
Yes, everyting blessed
I don’t want drama and I don’t want stress
My girl got finessed, Caribbean flex
Body and chest, take buddy in chest
Thank God more, I grew up with less
Juss to the right, Rapz to the left
Rj in the middle, got Cee to the death
Batch full of dogs with the 60’s vets

[Chorus: Burna Boy]
If you send me the location
Then I’ll be right there
Let me come, come check you, my baby
No time, no
And my dawg is on probation
Another 5 years
Me bring girls to his location

[Refrain: Burna Boy]
Nigga I was down but I made it to the top right now
(Right now, right now, right now)
And I can pull a couple grand out my pocket right now
(Right now, right now, right now)
Yeah I’m so fly, yeah I’m flyer than a rocket right now
(Right now, right now, right now)
And all the games you play never stop right now
(Right now, right now, right now)

[Verse 3: Burna Boy]
I pull up on the block, I see everybody watching
‘Cause there’s diamonds on my chain
And there’s diamonds on my watch
Money moves, Off-White shoes
Came straight from Virgil Abloh
I’ve been down, I’ve been low
Had my mattress on the floor
No map, North Cap, bend it up
Gyal a ring-ring my cellular
Mi ‘ave big fat spliff pon me, nuh
Inna the big black Benz, pullin’ up
Please tell everybody to start pulling up
‘Nough champagne from the bar coming up
Party hard, make her live my life, oh

[Refrain: Burna Boy]
Nigga I was down but I made it to the top right now
(Right now, right now, right now)
And I can pull a couple grand out my pocket right now
(Right now, right now, right now)
Yeah I’m so fly, yeah I’m flyer than a rocket right now
(Right now, right now, right now)
And all the games you play never stop right now
(Right now, right now, right now)

[Chorus: Burna Boy]
If you send me the location
Then I’ll be right there
Let me come, come check you, my baby
No time, no
And my dawg is on probation
Another 5 years

JUNGLEPUSSY – State Of The Union lyrics

You think you poppin’ cause your new chick low maintenance
Yeah you can’t handle it and I don’t have the patience
Your stroke was weak nigga
Pacin’ in the n*gger, don’t be playin’ with the n*gger

Pregnant with success, friends don’t want you to make it
Steady searchin’ for the truth, I don’t gotta chase it
I wish we never met but I cannot erase it
Layin’ in the hammock
Lie with my [?]
Keep it caribbean when you kick it with my crew
Keep your bloodclot ma quiet I do not f*ck with you
Keep the team on my hip and we stickier than glue
My birthday Halloween so I’m freakier than you

Vybz Kartel Publicly Shamed Popcaan With Epic Snub

Vybz Kartel and Popcaan have not made peace despite some recent reporting.

The self-proclaim Worl’Boss celebrated his 42nd birthday on Sunday and a number of his past and current allies took the timeout to wish him a happy birthday on social media. We saw artists like Popcaan, Sean Kingston, Tommy Lee Sparta, Spice, and NotNice post images of Kartel while sending birthday greetings his way. Kartel liked all the posts except for Popcaan and fans took note and criticized him for it.

The Unruly Boss shout-out his former mentor twice during separate performances in the Caribbean over the holidays. But it’s his post on Instagram that causing some fans to speak out. “Popcaan you is a two face snake, you never go visit the boss not once but you trying to get a hype by posting this, leave the boss name out your bad mind mouth,” one fan wrote in the comments.

Sources inside the Gaza told Dancehall HipHop that Popcaan has yet to visit Vybz Kartel behind bars since his incarceration in 2011. We’re also told that he has in the past requested a visit but Kartel denied it. This is a clear sign that these two former friends, who had a father and son-like relationship, are not making peace anytime soon. The below images show Vybz Kartel liking posts from everyone while snubbing Popcaan.

“The boss like everybody posts except for yours yo no have no shame, come off a the man name and stop post up picture with the boss like you and him a friend,” another fan commented.

Wyclef Jean Explains Why He Likes Vybz Kartel So Much, Talks Reggae Influence Globally

Wyclef Jean is a big fan of Vybz Kartel and here is why he has so much respect for the incarcerated dancehall icon.

Clef is currently in Jamaica for the upcoming Shaggy and Friends benefit concert this weekend in Kingston. But before he graced the stage, he had a sit down with Winford Williams on OnStage where he opened up about local talents and the heavy usage of reggae/dancehall in mainstream music currently. Despite the heavy sampling of Jamaican music by international acts, very few local artists are making it to the mainstream like Shaggy and Sean Paul did.

“Do you know why I like Vybz Kartel so much,” Wyclef said. “Because he understands this, at the end of the day right, if I can’t sell you a CD right now and you said man Clef can’t sell music no more but guess what I know I can sell you for sure, a Wyclef guitar.”

The former Fugee frontman spoke at length about Caribbean artists talent and their need to understand the music business fully in order to push their careers to the top. “This is what I want kids to understand, the music business is a 360, when you coming in now create a brand, do not be just an artist no more, become a brand,” he said.

Wyclef Jean also spoke about his new album Carnival 3, going on tour next year, and his presidential bid for Haiti. He started out by clearing up some rumors about his foundation Yele Haiti after a New York-based state attorney conducted an investigation over financial irregularities. Clef said that the whole investigation was a smear campaign to take down his presidential bid. The entire interview was well received with the music icon opening up about a lot of topics. You can see him live this weekend at Shaggy and Friends on the lawns of Jamaica House.

The pop superstar and teh Unruly Boss were both in Barbados last weekend. Rihanna was on her home soil where she was honored with a street named after her, while Popcaan was there to perform at a concert. RiRi and her BFF Melissa Ford link up with Poppy for a candid photo that has since been making the rounds on social media.

Sources close to the “Work” singer told Dancehall HipHop that the two spoke about working together but so far nothing concrete. “They did spoke about collaborating but nothing concrete yet just the initiation,” sources said. “These are two great Caribbean artists who are fans of each other’s music so naturally they would want to work together. Only time will tell if we will get a song featuring Rihanna and Popcaan.”

Both artists are currently working on new albums so there isn’t a better time for them to drop a collaboration on one of the upcoming projects. Popcaan is close friends with Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend Drake, so if this collab happens lets so how Drizzy will react to it. Last year RiRi had one of the biggest songs on the planet, her dancehall banger “Work” featuring Drake. The video for that single received almost a billion views on YouTube.

Roy Woods Drop His Debut Album “Say Less” [Listen]

Roy Woods debut album Say Less is finally here.

The OVO crooner has been working on the project for the past year and now you can get it on iTunes. The album, Say Less, comes with 16 new tracks and features guest verses from other OVO affiliates like 24hrs, dvsn, PnB Rock, and PARTYNEXTDOOR. dvsn and PnB are featured on the previously released single “Balance,” while Party is on the new single “Back It Up.”

Roy Woods says the album is heavily influenced by dancehall culture, a genre of music originated in Jamaica and has a heavy presence in the Toronto music scene. “Say Less is loyal to the rich and varied Caribbean influence of Toronto, with ‘Take Time’ in particular melding two of his most cherished influences: Michael Jackson and dancehall culture,” he said in a statement on iTunes.

Is Tommy Lee Sparta Making Mumble Dancehall Music

Tommy Lee Sparta is being accused of making mumble dancehall music?

While mumble rap became a thing in hip hop in recent years, mumble dancehall is not a thing, at least not yet. Some fans are accusing Tommy Lee Sparta of making mumble music, but unless you’re a hardcore dancehall follower you may not always understand what he is saying in his songs. Sean Kingston and Tommy Lee debut their new video for their first collaboration “Cross Over” on WorldStarHipHop yesterday and fans have been weighing in.

“WTF when since dancehall artist start with this mumble rap foolishness, this guy [Tommy Lee Sparta] isn’t even saying real words, this is trash,” one fan wrote while another added, “This guy is just making a bunch of sounds he is not even rapping they should keep this mumble foolishness out of reggae at least cats like Sean Paul and Beenie Man use real words even if its patois.”

One thing we should point out about this is that most of the critics were American based fans who are probably used to Sean Kingston reggae-pop flavor of music and not hardcore dancehall. So for those who don’t understand what Tommy Lee is saying here is a snippet of his lyrics. “Clean in a new bank robber / Time is money watch the gal them a fallow / Full of gold chains like a me name Shaba / Every body know me a the lyrical bomber / Scarface, Toni Montana, mi jus spend a million dollar / Weed me smoke me don’t run coke joke / Last boy this run up inna gun smoke,” Sparta spits.

“Any American saying they dont understand Tommy Lee verse gotta embrace it cuz u know y i don’t understand sh*t you’ll mumble rappers be saying yet still I’m from the Caribbean an i embrace you’ll sh*t so dont get it twisted,” one dancehall fan wrote. “Too me Tommy’s verse sounds more like a new style in mumbling so maybe he might be bigger than lil pump, xxxtenation, ski mask.”

Beenie Man Says Spice Is Not The New Queen Of Dancehall

Beenie Man says Spice is not the new queen of dancehall music at least not yet.

Earlier this tear, Spice crowned herself the new reigning queen of Jamaica’s dominant music genre, dancehall, a title previously held by Lady Saw who is now a gospel artist and a pastor. In 2015, Lady Saw relinquished her crown to become a Christian and she never looked back. She struggled with the transition for years before finally making her break-through. Since then no one stepped up to set on the throne at least not until this year when Spice stepped up to the plate.

There is no doubt that Spice has been a force in dancehall for the past few years, but is it enough to wear the crown for the queen of the dancehall? Beenie Man answered that question during an interview with Winford Williams on OnStage last weekend. “Well the queen of dancehall baptized now… Marion Hall [Lady Saw], the queen of dancehall baptized,” Beenie Man said. “So I am here to see the next queen to come.” When asked about Spice crowning herself, Beenie said, “Well she is the one that stepped up to the plate but that’s not how you become the queen.”

“Because if you’re going to take Lady Saw crown then you have to do what Lady Saw did like no disrespect, you can’t do less work and [want to be the queen],” Beenie added. The dancehall king lamented that Spice will have to elevate her career to the same heights as Lady Saw in order to gain the respect of the fans. “Becomes that artist that you know… she is Spice in Jamaica, she is Spice everywhere Jamaicans is, she is Spice everywhere Caribbean people is, she needs to be Spice where American and British people meet,” the Doc continues. “I am not talking about watching Instagram and talking about song, reaching the people ears the right way, being that artist that we can sit down in Jamaica and look on you on MTV and look on you on VH1 and say alright she has done it and she has reached that point. Because Lady Saw did it and she reached that point.”

Beenie Man added that Spice is more like the queen-elect, but still has more work to do to elevate her career to the next level.
