Michelle Obama’s Valentine’s Day Playlist For Barack Obama Is Too Stinkin’ Cute

Former First Lady Michelle Obama took some time on Valentine’s Day to share the love with music fans!

She put together an entire playlist filled with all of her favorite songs about love, dedicating it especially to the love of her life, former President Barack Obama. As if that isn’t cute enough the playlist is titled “Forever Mine.” Ok, so it was mainly for him, but we’re excited about the playlist as well.

“Forever Mine” features Obama favorites from John Legend to Coldplay, Ed Sheeran to Kendrick Lamar, Rod Stewart to Alicia Keys, and naturally Beyoncé makes the cut. Romantic classics to modern love ballads, Michelle Obama has it all covered.

Calvin Harris Explains Why He Doesn’t Like Playing Music Festivals

Fresh off his newly released single “Nuh Ready, Nuh Ready,” Calvin Harris is opening up about the change in his sound and his relationship with dance music.

The producer’s dancehall track with PartyNextDoor is the beginning of another new sound, even after straying with Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1. Now, his whole reasoning behind that shift in his music is explained, thanks to an interview with Zane Lowe for Beats 1 Radio.

“I basically took a year off dance music when I did all the Funk stuff. I thought I didn’t like it anymore… I was like wait, wait, wait. So actually some of the best producers in the world are EDM producers, even though they got shit on by everybody, the critics and cool music lovers. I’m sorry, but some of the best producers in the world are EDM and some of the best producers are Dutch.”

Don’t have to tell us twice.

As for festivals vs. more intimate shows, it’s a no-brainer for Harris…

“All that stuff got a little bit too impersonal. Standing up there and it’s the fireworks and all that stuff, but you’ve got no connection with anyone. And that’s why I actually love playing Vegas at the moment because I get to see people’s faces and get to see people enjoy their night. Those big festival shows which I wasn’t getting into personally other than a bit of money and money is, you know, the root of all evil.

“I haven’t done any meaningful festivals for years. Almost did one but I didn’t announce it because that’s the sort of guy I am. And also because I really might want to go back.”

It seems the Calvin Harris that we know is taking a step back to spend some serious time in the studio. Whatever he comes up with, we’ll definitely be listening.
