Rejjie Snow – Egyptian Luvr (feat. Amine & Kaytranada)

[Intro: Rejjie Snow]
Love
Love

[Refrain: Dana Williams]
Just let go of sorrow
Like there’s no tomorrow
‘Cause tonight might be your last
So stay up till sunrise
Wipe the tears from your eyes
Leave it in the past

[Chorus: Dana Williams & Rejjie Snow]
The past, the past, the past, the past
Leave it in the past
The past, the past, the past, the past
Leave it in the past

[Verse 1: Rejjie Snow]
Breakdance and boogie, my love
This is 1971
I crave that brain and that flesh
Cups of tea and gums that bleed red
Say you wrap the plastic in white
Say you single all of my life
Blackest skin, disfigure my crimes
Credit cards and losing my mind
Piece-by-piece, they stitched me
Ain’t no love, I’m still banging out Whitney
I can’t cry for those who ain’t with me
I can’t pray so Lord, please forgive me (so)
Pink like pussy, extra pushy
Hands up off me, she’s so lovely
Fame and fortune, all those habits
Pink and white, them panties matching

[Bridge: Dana Williams, Aminé & Rejjie Snow]
I want you to stay forever
I want you to stay forever
I want you to stay forever
I want you to stay forever

[Chorus: Dana Williams & Rejjie Snow]
The past, the past, the past, the past
Leave it in the past
The past, the past, the past, the past
Leave it in the past

[Verse 2: Aminé]
Ring, ring, I’m tryna get my old thing back
But baby always wanna bring up shit from the past (yeah)
Whoa-oh, our options are limitless
Putting in effort for the effort, it’s too effortless
Whoa, fuck checks, see the necklace
Gold hit her lips every time that I’m hitting it
Huh, I told her "baby, I’m sorry
But if you think we got problems then baby, watch Maury"
Yeah, that’s why you gotta smell the roses
We parted ways like she’s cheated with Moses
That’s fucked up but a lot of things are
In Hollywood but I never see stars
Do anything for ya, that’s love
Go anywhere for ya, that’s love
Might even kill for ya, that’s love
And if you’re still tripping, that’s drugs

[Refrain: Dana Williams, Rejjie Snow & Aminé]
Just let go of sorrow
Like there’s no tomorrow
‘Cause tonight might be your last
So stay up till sunrise (sunrise)
Wipe the tears from your eyes (your eyes)
Leave it in the past

[Chorus: Dana Williams & Rejjie Snow]
The past, the past, the past, the past
Leave it in the past
The past, the past, the past, the past
Leave it in the past

[Verse 3: Rejjie Snow]
Extra white, she’s so extra white
My appetite, I lost appetite
It’s paradise, we in paradise
So extra bright, it’s so extra bright, so
I break the beat and I scratch it
She be like cancer, she be like dancing
Straight to my mattress, I was on smashing
I was on abra, she was cadabring
No free smoke when your bae is gone
Why love when it’s free and it does no harm?
New phone, who’s this? And my life’s on charge
Two shows, pay rent, get a girl, get a job
Belly of the beast, when I walk in the streets
All I see is fake love, insecurity
Two months, seven days, oh, when you first came
Walked in, Off-White, all pink, okay

[Chorus: Dana Williams & Rejjie Snow]
The past, the past, the past, the past
Leave it in the past
The past, the past, the past, the past
Leave it in the past

Usher and Don Corleone Team Up On New Single “Pressure”

Usher taps dancehall power producer Don Corleone for his new single “Pressure.”

The link-up between the R&B singer and the producer was put together by producer Rico Love, according to Don Corleone. The two met for the first time at the famous AfterMaster Recording & Mastering Studios in Hollywood, CA. “I got a call from Rico Love (an American producer) one night asking me if I could come to a studio in Hollywood, California and be prepared to work,” Corleone said.

“I went to the studio and to my surprise, Usher was in the studio. So, Rico said let me play something for you and he played me this demo that he did,” the producer added. “It has only a few keys on it, so he then asked if I could make it fire with that dancehall sound. I made it on spot and it took me like five minutes to complete it.”

Don added that Usher loved what he heard and Rico Love then suggested that they include a female dancehall artist on the track. Corleone said he made it happen but can’t disclose the name of the female artist who will be on the track, but there are already some rumors that it’s dancehall newcomer Shenseea. “We recorded her the next day at Hitmaker Studio in Kingston… When Usher and Rico heard it, they both loved it,” he revealed.

Don Corleone is the first Jamaican based producer to produce a song for Usher which makes it a big achievement. Dancehall music has been reshaping the sound of mainstream pop and hip hop over the past two years and more established artists are now looking to Jamaica to get the authenticity of that sound. Justin Bieber, who was discovered by Usher, dabbled in dancehall for his last album, and we’ve seen artists like Drake, Rihanna, Tory Lanez, and Chris Brown all release dancehall influenced singles.

Vybz Kartel Calls YVA Snub “Another Attempt To Silence My Music”

Vybz Kartel thinks that the recent snub from the YVA awards is further proof that the system is trying to silence his music.

The “Mhm Hm” deejay did not receive a single nomination at this year’s Your View Awards, former Youth View, because of some rules changes. The YVA says they will not nominate any artist who can’t perform at the event which automatically disqualifies Kartel because of his incarceration. A rep for the deejay told Dancehall HipHop that he is not angry but still sees it as another attempt to silence his voice.

“It’s not our show so we can’t vex if they don’t nominate us (Vybz Kartel), but this is more clear evidence of a plot to silence Worl’Boss and stifle his music,” his rep said. “Thankfully we are living in an age where the fans can go online and get the music directly from artists so we don’t have to go through radio stations or major labels. The fans know that Kartel is the biggest and baddest artist in the history of dancehall. Him in a league by himself and no other artist even come close to his level. So what is dancehall award show without Vybz Kartel?”

Kartel’s biggest rival, Alkaline, leads the list of nominees this year with seven nods. This further fuel the beef between the two deejays with Kartel’s rep accusing the YVA of being bought out by the Vendetta deejay. “You can’t have an award show where artists can buy them way into and how can that be better than artist paying disc jockeys to play their music,” his rep told us.

Last year the YVA was dominated by Vybz Kartel despite him getting fewer nominations than his counterpart Alkaline. Vendetta fans were highly critical of the award show calling it a Gaza show. So perhaps this is the YVA’s attempt to appease those fans.

The Game is mourning the death of his father George Taylor who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 65.

Details surrounding the elder Taylor’s death is still sketchy but TMZ reported that a family member discovered his unresponsive body at his home in Apple Valley, California. Game rap about his father on his single “Bloody Moon” and has over the year had an on and off relationship with him. He hasn’t shared his reaction to his father’s death on social media.

Cardi B Explains Why She Always Posts Videos About Her Achievements

Cardi B says she will not stop making videos about he achievements so get used to it.

The former Love and Hip Hop New York rapper just had perhaps the best year of her life and not only did she worked her way into the elite of music, but she also had to prove that she is not a one-hit wonder. She often posts videos of herself blasting her critics while reminding her fans where she is coming from and what she has achieved for herself.

One fan seems to have enough of her bickering about her achievements and decided to tell her to get over it and, well you don’t have to guess how that ended. “Damn Cardi B needs to shut up we get it congrats on your singles,” the fan wrote. “You’ve made 50 videos telling us where your sh*t is on the Billboard top 100. Why do you need to tell us this sh*t just be happy for yourself.

Cardi B responded with a fiery clap back saying, “Everyday I get discredit. For months people was calling me a one hit wonder and that sh*t used to hurt my heart. So I’m going to always post about my achievements. I’m thanking the people for supporting and the lord in this video. How is that bragging?”

Cardi B is currently having an impressive run on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Just last week she equaled Beyonce record as only the second female artist in history to have four songs in the top ten of the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart. The week prior, she also created Billboard history when she became the second female rapper to have three songs in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 chart. Hill did it in the late 1990s and no other female MC since then until Cardi B. So can you blame her for posting those videos.

I’ll be fine on my own, she said, I don’t need you inside my head
(She’ll be fine on her own, she’ll be fine on her own)
I’ll be fine on my own, she said, all my love’s wrapped in shades of red
(She’ll be fine on her own, she’ll be fine on her own)
No holds barred in the ring so you’ll fight me
Give ’em hell, give ’em teeth like you taught me
Tireless mess, seeking thrills getting bitey
When I’m in doubt
Pudgy face kissing lace in the backseat
Wrinkled toss of the coin that I can’t see
Don’t forget I have you to be like me
Where around is enough for a family
I’ll be fine on my own, she said, I don’t need you inside my head
(She’ll be fine on her own, she’ll be fine on her own)
I’ll be fine on my own, she said, all my love’s wrapped in shades of red
(She’ll be fine on her own, she’ll be fine on her own)
Growing pains splaying rain on the high sea
Scale a tree, snap a branch so you can’t leave
On the ground, lost and found, understand me
Putting words in my mouth, trying to get free
Solid punch kind of eyes make ‘em wobbly
Gothic vine growing fire in the lobby
Lighten up, buttercup, get a hobby
Yeah, swing, sucker, swing, finish sobbing
She’ll be fine on her own… she’ll be fine on her own
She’ll be fine on her own… she’ll be fine on her own
She’ll be fine on her own, she said
She’ll be fine on her own, she said
She’ll be fine on her own, she said
She’ll be fine on her own, she’ll be fine on her own
She’ll be fine on her own, she’ll be fine on her own
I’ll be fine, I’m alright, it’s my body
Gonna stick to my guns, like you taught me
Holy hell, I can tell that you hate me
Dying moon, keep me up, keep me waiting
I’ll be fine, I’m alright, it’s my body
Gonna stick to my guns, like you taught me

Black Eyed Peas – Street Livin’ (On The Late Show) (Live)

[Verse 1: will.i.am]
Street livin’, caught in a trap
Guns or books, sell crack or rap
Be like kings or be like pawns
They called us coons, now they call us cons
Street niggas be packing pistols
Terrorists be blasting missles
Crips and bloods and retail thugs
CIA planes bring Columbian drugs
Don’t push me cause I’m close to hell
And compare to them, prison guards get payed well
Ten years no bail is 4 years at Yale
So, forget about the statue of General Lee
Because the status of blacks are generally
Are gonna end up in some penitentiary
Systematically, that’s how they made it to be
Listen, they derailed the soul train
And put a nightmare into every Martin Luther King
And private complexes are owned by the same
Slave masters that owned the slave trade game
And racists no longer have to be racist
Cause niggas kill more niggas than the KKK did
Now, every time I hear a new def jam
Niggas killing niggas like they Ku Klux Klan
I understand what’s a nigga to choose?
Be the killer or be the dead dude in the news
I get it, what’s a nigga to do?
No education in the hood, got a nigga confused

[Verse 2: Taboo]
Street livin’, tough conditions
Brainwashed by the television
We lost in the war we live in
Double cross love lost no religion
Street livin’, oh my gosh
Another brother got shot by the searg’
Another cop got off with no charge
If you black in the hood, you at large
You’re guilty until we prove you’re innocent
If you’re ivory, they treat you different
If you’re ebony, they assume you’re temperament
Well, be vigilant, and they call you militant
You’ll get shot, and they’ll say the incident
Is because you’re beligerent
What a coincidence?
If you ain’t dead, you can see imprisonment

[Verse 3: apl.de.ap]
It’s more niggas in the prisons than there ever slaves cotton picking
There’s more niggas that’s rotting in the prisons than there ever slaves cotton picking
So, how we gon’ get out the trap?
Guns or books, sell crack or rap
Street livin’, hustle or hoops
Guns or books, get shot or shoot
Street livin’, ain’t no rules
Break the law, make or break the news
The life you choose could be the life you lose
Niggas getting stuck for the Nike shoes
Street livin’, ain’t no joke
It’s a cold world, better bring your coat
Revoke cause the streets are broke
Now, they wanna take away our dreams and hopes
Street livin’, no economics
No way out of the Reaganomics
Infected by the black plague, new bubonic
No comprende, we speak ebonics
Street livin’, what’s your position?
You can take action or take a dick
Listen, you can get fucked by the system
Or you can say fuck the system

Dave East – The Hated (feat. Nas) (Short Film)

We gotta get it
They hated Esco
They hated Escobar
I’m still here
Dave East talk that talk
Streets need that
NYC, L.A., Chicago, Detroit, the whole world
Lets get it
I had a basic plan, get out the projects and never look back
Could still smell the aroma from when my uncle would cook crack
One conversation between homies, better yet brothers
That used to spend the night with each other
They moms was best friends
One name was Anthony, the hood called ’em Ant Live
Kept his pistol on ’em, so he bought a bigger pant size
He got a little colder the moment he watched his man die
That was ten years ago
Baby-face, wishing that his beard would grow
Now he throw a set up anywhere he go
He just a product of his environment
Told me he’d rather die than ever go to Rikers again
Did a bid, his celly was blood, he studied five percent
Came home, like let niggas see me, I’ll never ride with tint
Cory was his right-hand man, his mother up North
She was busting checks with the wrong nigga
He popped Xannys and he just want him some strong liquor
Lose the attitude, he miserable
For years he tried to get a lick or two
Moms begging he finish school, but non-sense he get into
Ant’ met Cory when they was kids with innocence
Ant’ hated his dad around ’cause that nigga was militant
Cory found a hoe to pass, some cash, they could triple it
Double it, stack it up, Cory ain’t never want to spend
Ant’ was blowing money fast, big Meeching when he shopped
Flashy nigga, body wrapped in diamonds, necklace, and the watch
They hated Jesus, hated Malcolm, hated Martin
(They gon’ hate) Eight niggas living in a two-bedroom apartment
No lights up in the crib, I guess I came up out the darkness
Mood change when I spark it, new Range, now I park it
They hated Jesus, hated Malcolm, hated Martin
(They gon’ hate) Eight niggas living in a two-bedroom apartment
No lights up in the crib, I guess I came up out the darkness
Mood change when I spark it, new Range, now I park it
Ant’ and Cory set up a trap, fiends in and out of that
No mask, stocking cap, they robbed him, but he got it back
Six in the morning with baggies on him was a way of life
Streets will teach you quick, ain’t nothing free, pay the price
Eviction notice in the kitchen, your bitch will stay the night
Cory had the sour with him, Ant’ fuck with ‘yola
Got kicked out his moms crib, she found a couple boulders
Locked up with killers up North, he rubbed a couple shoulders
Cory told Ant’ on the V I the block was changing
Ant’ told Cory be grateful, freedoms’ amazing
Three and half light bid, Ant’ stayed in drama
He was light skinned, outside before you niggas was typing
No MySpace
Cory and Ant’ had butter rockin’
The other younger niggas from the block, just loved to watch him
Couple haters, but nothing major, they knew the streets
Niggas caught Cory, made him take off that new Philippe
Cory took it on the chin, he wasn’t new to beef
Killers kill you for talking, all you gotta do is speak
Thats a man down, Ant’ told Cory have the fam ’round
And keep on shitting on niggas until your pants brown
They hustle low, so much evidence that can’t found
Cory got nervous whenever they spun that Van ’round
They snatched him and he talked about the way he got it
Broke the code, that was snitchin’, it ain’t no way around it
They hated Jesus, hated Malcolm, hated Martin
(They gon’ hate) Eight niggas living in a two-bedroom apartment
No lights up in the crib, I guess I came up out the darkness
Mood change when I spark it, new Range, now I park it

No lights up in the crib, I guess I came up out the darkness
Mood change when I spark it, new Range, now I park it

Keep doin’ what you do
Peace be on to you my young brother

Eminem – Kill My Pain (Mixup) Lyrics

[Eminem]
Back’s to the wall, I’m stacking up all them odds
Toilets clogged, yeah, ‘cause I’m talking a lot of
Shit but I’m backing it all up
But in my head there’s a voice in the back and it hollers
After the track is demolished, I am your lack of a conscience
I’m the ringing in your ears
I’m the polyps on the back of your tonsils
Eatin’ your vocal chords after your concerts
I’m your time that’s almost up that you haven’t acknowledged
Grab for some water
But I’m that pill that’s too jagged to swallow
I’m the bullies you hate that you became
With every faggot you slaughtered
Coming back on you, every woman you insult
Batter, but the double-standards you have
When it comes to your daughters
I represent everything you take for granted
‘Cause Marshall Mathers, the rapper’s persona
Is half a facade, and Matthew and Stan’s just symbolic
Of you not knowing what you had ’til it’s gone
‘Cause after all the glitz and the glam
No more fans that are calling your name
Cameras are off, sad, but it happens to all of them

[Evanescene] (x2)
I tried to kill my pain
But only brought more
So much more
I lay dying
And I’m pouring crimson regret and betrayal

[Notorious B.I.G]
Check it, I grew up a fuckin’ screw-up
Got introduced to the game, got a ounce and fuckin’ blew up
Choppin’ rocks overnight
The nigga Biggie Smalls tryna turn into the black Frank White
We had to grow dreads to change our description
Two cops is on the milk box missin’
Show they toes, you know they got stepped on
A fistful of bullets, a chest full of Teflon
Runnin’ from the police, picture that
Nigga, I’m too fat, I fuck around and catch a asthma attack
That’s why I bust back, it don’t phase me
When he drop, take his Glock and I’m Swayze
Celebrate my escape, sold the Glock, bought some weight
Lay back, I got some money to make
(I repeat)
Celebrate my escape, sold the Glock, bought some weight
Lay back, I got some money to make

[Evanescence] (x2)
I tried to kill my pain
But only brought more
So much more
I lay dying
And I’m pouring crimson regret and betrayal

[2Pac]
But still I’m havin’ memories of high speed when the cops crashed
As I laugh, pushin’ the gas while my Glocks blast
We was young and we was dumb, but we had heart
In the dark, will we survive through the bad parts?
Many dreams is what I had, and plenty wishes
No hesitation in extermination of these snitches
Envious bitches, they still continue to pursue me
A couple of movies, now the whole world’s tryna screw me
Even the cops tried to sue me, so what can I do?
But stay true, sippin’ 22’s of brew
And now media is tryna test me
Got the press askin’ questions, tryna stress me
Misery is all I see, that’s my mind state
My history with the police will shake the crime rate
My main man had two strikes, slipped, got arrested, and flipped
He screamed “Thug Life!” and emptied the clip
Got tired of runnin’ from the police

[Evanescence] (x2)
I tried to kill my pain
But only brought more
So much more
I lay dying
And I’m pouring crimson regret and betrayal

[Eminem]
There they go, packin’ stadiums as Shady spits his flow
Nuts they go, macadamian they go so ballistic, whoa
He can make them look like Bozos
He’s wondering if he should spit this slow
Fuck no! Go for broke
His cup just runneth over, oh no
He ain’t had a real buzz like this since the last time that he overdosed
Theyve been waiting patiently for Pinocchio to poke his nose
Back into the game and they know
Rap will never be the same as before
Bashing in the brains of these hoes
And establishing a name as he goes
The passion and the flame is ignited
You can’t put it out once we light it
This shit is exactly what the fuck that I’m talking about when we riot
You dealin with a few true villains
Whose stand inside of the booth truth spillin
And spit true feelings, until our tooth fillings come flying up out of our mouths
Now rewind it!
Payback muthafucka for the way that you doubted me hows it taste?
When I slap the taste out your mouth with the bass so loud that it shakes the place
Im Hannibal Lecter so just in case youre thinking of saving face
You ain’t gonna have no face to save by the time I’m through with this place
So Drake

[Evanescence] (x2)
I tried to kill my pain
But only brought more
So much more
I lay dying
And I’m pouring crimson regret and betrayal

Bhad Bhabie – Hi Bich (Remix) Lyrics

[Intro]
Oh my God, Ronny

[Chorus: Bhad Bhabie]
White J’s, white Porsche
White wrist, white horse
Hi, bitch, hi, bitch
Hi, bitch, hi, bitch

[Verse 1: YBN Nahmir]

All that flexin’, just stop it
I cop me an Audi, that top, I’ma drop it
I pick up your bitch, now them panties keep droppin’

One night, then I pass her back Monday
Lil’ nigga want smoke, then it’s gunplay
Caught him in the field, left him on the runway
We packin’, you lackin’, you talkin’, so bitch
Yeah we finna get on that
That pistol be hot, it go in slow motion
That blower, you know it got blow back
I’m stickin’ you up, bro takin’ you down
Since you flexin’ like you got that
We run through the back, get hit with this Mac
We got guns like it’s Baghdad

[Verse 2: Rich The Kid & Bhad Bhabie]
Ayy, ayy (hi, bitch)
She ain’t got FaceTime, I’ma Skype it
Get her head one time, tell her, “Bye, bitch”
Drop an all white Bentley on my right wrist
I might take her on the jet if I like it
Side bitch, Kylie
If I dick her one time, what she gon’ buy me?
Come straight out the sky like I’m E.T
Fuck that, bitch, my pinky ring 3D
Young CEO, I could sign ya
Quarter mil’ on my neck, I’ma blind ya
Cut her off, she ain’t havin’ no purpose
Bitch bad, still buyin’ no purses

[Chorus: Bhad Bhabie]
White J’s, white Porsche
White wrist, white horse
Hi, bitch, hi, bitch
Hi, bitch, hi, bitch

[Verse 3: Asian Doll]
Bitches deceased
Smokin’ on dick, she not better than me
Pop out, lil’ birdie, you speak with a beak
Send your location, then Uber to me
Bitches been hangin’ diamonds on my face
Kick her to the curb, she ain’t gang anyway
Asian on the beat, then the beat gets slayed
I took it offensive, so watch what you say
Hi, bitch, got a .30, don’t try it
Ball out the mall, I’m like Kobe, just buy shit
Sick of these bitches, they lie quick
Clip shoot a movie, now talkers, directors, you dyin’
Send her ass on a hike
I don’t wanna kick it with her, bitch for the hype
Real pretty, beat her ass in a street fight
Know I’m flyer than these hoes like a pink kite, Asian Doll!

[Interlude: Bhad Bhabie]
Bitch!
You mad, ho
Why you so mad ,ho?

[Verse 4: Bhad Bhabie]
Ho, don’t wanna try me
Yeah, that’s on my mama’s chromosome
Commas run on 10, since I run it up
Never wanna line up, I don’t do McDonald’s
Fuck crazy you know I’m breakin’ necks when I’m pullin’ up (skrrt)
All my numbers lookin’ outrageous
Now the blogs handin’ out praises
Got the world usin’ my phrases
Hoes keep my name in their mouth
Hope it tastes like shit when they say it (don’t say my name, bitch)
Barrin’ out, I ain’t got Xans in me, no
Young but I’m ballin’ like a damn CEO
Bentley truck, said don’t give a fuck
Came from the street, Boynton Beach
Shit, they know what’s up
Bitches that hold no position
Come at me, fall in my mentions
Hoes be thirsty for attention
Knock a hoe out this dimension
Then continue my ascension (why you so mad?)
How you hoes livin’ with no purpose?
I be puttin’ venom in my verses
Bitch, you worthless
You ain’t fuckin’ with my worst shit
Doubted me, now it’s all comin’ together like cursive (like cursive, bitch)
$50K a show, I’m doin’ 30 of ’em
5 million by the summer, keep the numbers runnin’
Bitches showin’ everything, I be understuntin’ (damn)
Understandin’ your regard, really had nothin’ (shit)
Shit, but now I’m breakin’ records and I’m makin’ history (wow)
How can they stop me? I swear it’s a mystery
Parents so sick of me, shouts to their misery
(Let your kids listen to me!)
Ho, I do millions on a slow day
And I ain’t gotta go to school like a snow day
But my… in the stu so it’s okay
Bank account look like a lick
Broke ho, you look like you sick
Slide on the beat like it’s slick
Bitch don’t compare me to Iggy
That old ho is washed and I’m lit
Wouldn’t pay her to wash up my whip
(Bye, broke bitch, bye, hoe!)

[Chorus: Bhad Bhabie]
White J’s, white Porsche
White wrist, white horse
Hi, bitch, hi, bitch
Hi, bitch, hi, bitch
I do not sniff it or roll it (no)
It do not drip when I pour it (no)
I do not run, I reload it
I do not save it, I throw it
White J’s, white Porsche
White wrist, white horse
Hi, bitch, hi, bitch
Hi, bitch, hi, bitch

Sylvan LaCue – Coffee Break

[Verse]
I been thinking centuries
In twenty years will these niggas mention me?
I’m all in your odds
Don’t know many times I’ve played these cards
Just keep your guard and disregard facades
Tunnel vision has brought me this far
Hennessy guzzling, lies have been muzzling
Fuck was I, yo
Holding grudges, I should let these bygones be bygones
If I’m on then I’m gone, and my dawns can flourish in peace
Snakes will never be stand up
I had to switch up my stanzas, was money motivated
Ironically, no apologies
I thought it would be wiser to speak the truth
I’m tired of struggling, I’m tired of making excuses
If you want change then make a change, don’t get lost in the ‘clusive
That shit ain’t conducive of forward thinking
Too many blacks is dying
Too many cops acquitted
My skin is a splitting image of fear and misunderstanding
I feel like my mistakes done cost some chances
But fuck that shit, at least I caught some glances
I can smell it, stronger than fakeness around the corner
Gotta be bigger than self, don’t ask [me out if] you want ta
Don’t say I never warned ya
Music was all I had, I turned away the world to find myself
You know I hate to brag, but fuck your legacy
I followed no recipe, this is my shit
Rather build from the bottom then stand behind of your cockpit
Use my talents to better humanity
How long will I be a slave to desires and vanity
I search for the man in me
Responsibility for my passion
I pray that my talents be used by the law for more action
Can’t leave this world with nothing but judgment of acts reenacted and form emotion
What have you done to make my land a better place though?
Nigga case closed, since my father I don’t carry on with
Refusing offers from seat and sponsors
You so accomplished, you so above
All this nonsense, self-righteous
Come and write this sense of, higher purpose to ruin past creative felt like this, mmm
Amazing grace, you face mistakes, my pen escape, then wake your soul and witness how long it actually tends to take
I pressed the breaks so many times, I might as well be a mom
I move in silence but nothing actually climbs
Don’t lose your soul, nigga
Don’t ever lose your purpose when it’s told, nigga
Be aware of those who never wanna fold with you but go with you, when more figures, go swole picture
These cold niggas invest in my whole liver
Fuck them toxins, My brother surrounded by oxytocins
Told him I’d whip his ass if I found him around them problems
Drug culture, used to glorify the sellers
But now we users, open abusers, destroying ourselves
Avoiding thy hell, or preach your head off
I’m feeling best off when I’m open and private
Fuck all that silence, what constitutes the root of suicide?
I know some niggas who cried
Came to my side, nothing but tears in their eyes
Like "I wish my homie heard your music", he’d probably survive
Chills down my spine and what I’m concerned with
Spotify plays and how to make amends with niggas I give two fucks about so I can route how to maximize this clout
I owe y’all apologies
See, I been making music for the wrong reasons
I think my vanity’s catching up with my sense of being
I think my lust for status is tragic, imagine
Ain’t spoke to friends in like seven months [?] for this passion
Fuck all that reenacting, I’m more concerned with memes than taking action
Then getting public with strangers, and hating or acting
A slave to these boxes while suffocating through all this madness
I cannot suffer, I have a voice that needs more extracting
I’ma do everything in my power to watch the masses
I’ma get…

Derez Deshon – Hardaway

[Intro]
I got dreams of livin’ lavish
In the kitchen whippin’ magic
I got dreams of livin’ lavish
In the kitchen whippin’ magic
Bad bitches, bad habits

[Bridges]
I ain’t asked nan nigga for nun, I took the harder way
12 pulled me over caught me with the dope, they took my hard away
Hardaway, hardaway, hardaway, young Penny Hardaway

[Verse 1]
Young Penny Hardaway, in the skillet whippin’ magic
Bad bitches, bad habits, yeah, that money gotta have it
I used to dream of livin’ lavish, now a nigga livin’ lavish
Buy a foreign whip to what’s fastest, if I ain’t eatin’ then I’m fastin
Fat as fuck, bought a coupe just to see if I can fit in it
That didn’t work so I gave it to one of my bitches
I should’ve just bought a Bentley, guess what I did?
Woke the next day went and bought a Bentley, for who?
Me and my kids
I took the harder way, didn’t know how to sell crack I was givin’ that hard away
So fucked up I had to borrow a plate that shit took my heart away but I been through harder days
Fuck that I was just in New York, in a Hummer, lookin for Charlamagne respect

[Chorus]
I ain’t asked nan nigga for nun, I took the harder way
12 pulled me over caught me with the dope, they took my hard away
Pouring liquor for my niggas that’s gone, thug holiday
Young Penny Hardaway, hardaway
I ain’t asked nan nigga for nun, I took the hardaway
12 pulled me over caught me with the dope, they took my hard away
Hardaway, hardaway, hardaway, young Penny Hardaway

[Verse 2]
I’m number 1 like young Penny, I used to shop JC Penny
Now I go fuck up in Lenox, spend a few hundreds on Penny’s
Every since I can remember since elementary all I wanted was millions
I used to steal from my grandmama change draw just to flex on them lil bitty bitches I be up
I stayed out after the street light, these niggas ain’t bout that street life
My block was hot before Lil Wayne was Tunechi I ain’t even kiss my baby g-night
Before Tity Boi, had turned to 2 Chainz I had a duffle bag with a few thangs
Before I rode with Gucci in the Mulsanne, run with ghostface killahs Wu Tang

[Hook]
I took a harder way, didn’t know how to sell crack I was givin’ that hard away
If I fucked up had to borrow a play that shit took my heart away but I been through harder days, fuck that I was just on Rex Road with the hard, before this hardaway
I ain’t asked nan nigga for nun, I took the hardaway
12 pulled me over caught me with the dope, they took my hard away
Pouring liquor for my niggas that’s gone, thug holiday
Young Penny Hardaway, hardaway
I ain’t asked nan nigga for nun, I took the harder way
12 pulled me over caught me with the dope, they took my hard away
Hardaway, hardaway, hardaway, young Penny Hardaway

Damian Marley‘s Stony Hill album returns to the top of the Billboard Reggae chart this week ahead of the 60th annual Grammy Awards.

Junior Gong and Chronixx are the hot favorites to take home the Grammy for Best Reggae Album this year, but with a Marley name behind him, Gong is traditionally favored to win the trophy. Chronixx’s Chronology album is currently at No. 6 on the chart. Whether or not this latest development will sway voters in the reggae Grammy category is yet to be determined.

Both Damian Marley and Chronixx released two well-received albums last year and both artists are deserving of the award, but only one can win. The other artists nominated in the Best Reggae Album category also released great albums, they include Morgan Heritage (Avrakedabra), Common Kings (Lost In Paradise), and J Boog (House Ting). This is the first Grammy nomination for Chronixx and Common Kings.

I like that album a whole heap. Morgan Heritage, who are close family friends of mine, they have a good album out too, likewise J Boog. I am not so familiar with Common Kings, but everybody else I kinda know them music and we are all friends.”

My true personality is introverted and private, totally different from the me on stage. My hands are shaking as I write this post. For me, it is a sign that I am about to exercise courage because they shook like this when I came out in 2012. I am sharing this because I strongly believe visibility is vital for change and I’m gonna live it… authentically. I’s married now Celie! Love wins.”

“We woke up on Saturday morning and she said to me… ‘Babe, did you think that when we met in 2007, one day we woulda married??? After a short pause, I replied Yes… yes I did…’ I didn’t tell anybody I was getting married,” Mijanne wrote.

Meek Mill and YFN Lucci New Song “Street Kings” Is Fire

Meek Mill and YFN Lucci new single “Street Kings” is straight fire.

The duo drop the collaboration over the weekend and it quickly became a trending topic in hip hop. One of the reasons why this song resonate so much is because of Meek Mill’s incarceration and fans are sending a message to the system to set him free. “Shout out my ni**as that stayed down, That’s why they still with me I came up, Got some money and look what they sayin’ now, Bet they tell you them ni**as, they stand up, I manned up,” Meek raps.

Both Meek and YFN Lucci pays homage to their friends and perhaps fans who are currently incarcerated by a justice system widely seen as bias against African American men. The single “Street Kings” will be featured on YFN upcoming album Ray Ray from Summerhill. The project is expected to arrive sometime this year.

Meek Mill has been incarcerated since November last year when he was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison for probation violation. His sentencing sparked widespread criticism from fans and his celebrity peers who accused the judge of using heavy handed tactics to send the Philly rapper to prison. His attorneys have also been actively fighting for his freedom, but so far they have been hitting roadblocks.
